Comments about Arc'teryx R320a Climbing Harness:
This this is insane It was a upgrade from my cheapo BD harness I got a few yers back in Californa (Joshua tree area) I am 5'11 about 200 Lbs. (Stocky) I found the medium to run a little tight on the legs mainly. Waist is 32-24 but this slid over my butt and tighted down nice feels really really nice hanging and falling. My only concern is which I returned for a larger size if if you plan on doing anything except summer or Non-layer climbs get a 1 size larger! That is all! The large will cinch down and not run out of space for a 32 inch waist although you do have a rather long tail, I just swed a bunji around and tucked it all in and problem solved. I can now wear "Ski style" pants with this harness for mountian climbing.

Comments about Arc'teryx R320a Climbing Harness:
Never would I have imagined that I would ever own a harness with this type of price tag. I was at the REI Near Redrocks National Park near Las Vegas and was looking for a new harness because my old one was very uncomfortable and kept digging in (It was a Black Diamond SA harness). I tried the Arc'teryx R320a on for fun just to see how the harness would feel. The staff at REI directed me to the backroom where there was a rope with a biner hanging so I could test the comfort while hanging. THIS HARNESS IS SOOO COMFORTABLE! I tried on several different models and sizes even Black Diamonds Higher end models. Some of them were comfortable but none of the other harness can even be on the same level as the Arc'teryx. Hanging on the harness feels like your in a large comfy chair. It is so lightweight and comfortable that you tend to forget that the harness is on. The harness will move with your body and flex at the edges of the harness preventing the digging in or cutting feeling like other harnesses. It packs extremely small in the provided sack compared to other harnesses.
Yes the harness is expensive and it will not be someones first harness purchase, but if you are looking a lightweight comfortable all around harness then this is a top contender.
Thanks to REI's awesome return policy (returned my old BD Momentum SA) and 20% for members and the REI dividend, I didn't pay full price for this harness.
If you are at REI or at another store. Try on an Arc'teryx harness and hang on it....you will see for yourself. If you don't want to buy this harness then I would strongly recommend you NOT try on the harness. You will have difficulty not buying it and leaving the storing knowing that there is a harness like that out there.

Comments about Arc'teryx R320a Climbing Harness:
Originally I have owned a Petzl harness for the past five years. Well, when it came to retiring it I have had plenty of time to pick and choose pros and cons between what I have seen on the markets and what other avid climbers are using. Arcteryx makes bomber gear anyway, and the R360 is no different. Tried it out on a long day of climbing and forgot I was wearing it. So light and comfortable. I am a waist size of 32', so I went with the large just to have more length to pull down on, and it will allow for extra layers of clothing should I decide to use it on a frosty day.
Cheerio,

Comments about Arc'teryx R320a Climbing Harness:
Just like almost all of Arc'teryx's stuff this is one of the best in it's category, and with all of Arc'teryx it's expensive. Light, comfortable, and looks sick. I dig the reversable plastic sleeves of the gear loops.
Some people fault this harness for not being able to hold gear. If that's a problem you're wearing it too loose. I got a set of: BD cams from C3 0 to C4 4 with some doubles + 14 slings/ draws + atc guide and grigri + cordalette + 6 lockers + some self rescue stuff. NO slipping.
It'd be cool if they could ditch the silly plastic D ring for the tag line attachment and use nylon webbing like Black Diamond.
The sizing runs larger than Black Diamond Harnesses. I am in between a small and medium in BD harnesses, but a medium for this guy is too big.
