Comments about REI Campware Cup:
I haven't used this cup in the backcountry yet, but it's pretty obviously durable. I just wanted to note for the ultralighters out there- this cup is actually only 1.85 ounces, not 2.5.
I switched to this from a titanium mug because I was tired of carrying around "Hot Lips" to prevent lip burns from hot liquids heating up the rim of the titanium mug. Turns out this mug is actually lighter than the titanium one, if by only a little bit.

Comments about REI Campware Cup:
I was going through different fancy cups, and when hiking a section of the PCT last year I found THIS cup lying on the ground by the trail... as if it fell out of the sky (or a thru-hiker's pack... sorry!) just for me. And it hit me... this is all I need. I snipped off the handle, so it would pack smaller (fits right in my pot now) and started using it.
If I could make the perfect cup, it would be this material, minus the handle (why do you need that?) and a little deeper (this cup is prone to spilling, and I'd really like that extra sip of coffee.)

Comments about REI Campware Cup:
You dont need much else. And for the price! Bought one of each for me and the bf to take trekking the W in Patagonia. I opted for cheap and simple with all the other nifty things out there. We really USED these. Coffee every morning and evening. Wine on occasion. We met another hiker while we were enjoying coffee while the rain passed and I was not embarrassed to offer him coffee out of this little guy.
I brought them out again as wine cups when we decided to picnic in Mendoza. Fantastic.
Measuring lines are a little hard to see, but I made it work.

Comments about REI Campware Cup:
I absolutely love this cup. It's stackable, and made of good quality plastic - thick enough to be strong and there are no sharp edges / joints.

Sometimes you need a cup. This should be your cup. Cheap, lightweight, stackable. Say no more mon amour.
