Comments about Chaco Updraft 2 Sandals - Women's:
I bought these shoes for white water rafting and love them. They did not need a break in period, an my feet were comfortable all day. I have also used them for everyday wear, and find that my feet did not hurt after a long day of running errands. After breaking my ankle, they were approved for use on my supporting leg because of how they strap and do not slip like flip-flops will.

Comments about Chaco Updraft 2 Sandals - Women's:
I love my old pair of Yampa Chacos and decided to get a second pair of sandals while my old ones are off being resoled and rewebbed. I have only had them for 1 day and my initial reaction was great. The new LUVSEAT footbed feels amazing. It is a much better shock-absorber than the old style and it is incredibly light weight. But the new plastic heel risers rubbed the inside of my ankles badly. Not 10 minutes into a casual walk down the sidewalk, I had painful blisters due to the rubbing. If I don't develop calluses in this area, I will see if Chaco can replace the plastic heel risers with the old-style fabric ones. That simple fix would place these among the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned.
The Updraft sandals would be 5 stars if Chaco would have kept the fabric heel riser. But because of the pain and blisters, I can't give these sandals more than a "fair" rating. And at this point, I would not recommend these sandals to a friend.

I wear these sandals nearly every day and I absolutly love them! They provide so much more support than your average everyday flip-flop, and I know that they will last me for years. I love the Chaco strap design that automatically fits to your foot shape as you walk- its supportive yet comfortable. My only problem with these sandals is that they make soft squeaking noises when I walk, but a small price to pay for a great product!

Comments about Chaco Updraft 2 Sandals - Women's:
I consider myself to have a slight sport sandal addiction. The Chaco Updraft 2 sandals are my third pair of Chacos, and I am more than pleased with my purchase! In other shoes, I wear a size 7.5, so I opted for a size 7 in the Updraft 2s.
Both of my previous pairs (Unaweep Z/2 and ZX/1) felt a bit clunky on my feet, causing me some knee pain when I wore them for long periods of time. This is the first issue corrected by my new Updraft 2 sandals. The new sole design is FANTASTIC! While still feeling very sturdy, the soles of my feet are much happier in the smoother, slightly squishier footbed. My ZX/1s also brought on some blisters on the outside of my foot, on the joints at the base of my toes. So far, the Updraft 2s have been much kinder!
The only negative I have found is that the area that surrounds the back of my heel is a little too wide. I have tried to adjust it, and it seems that the footbed area is just a bit to big for my narrow heel. While my narrow foot fits perfectly everywhere else in the shoe, the heel area's width causes the sole of the shoe to flop a little bit as I walk, and sometimes even bang into my other ankle bone.
Overall, I am very happy with my new Chaco Updraft 2s. Thanks, REI, for continuing to feed my addiction! ;)

Comments about Chaco Updraft 2 Sandals - Women's:
I have never had to buy a wide shoe in my life, but I did buy wide Chacos. So, make sure that you try them on. I have a very small foot. So, they tend to make the smaller sizes more narrow (size 6).
Anyway, I LOVE them! They are as comfortable as everyone says, and the black does not get too hot. I can't wait to wear them whitewater rafting and kayaking! I bought the diamond detail pattern (black), and they are very cute. The pattern is just enough and not too much.
