Comments about Chaco Updraft X2 Sandals - Women's:
This is my second pair of chacos. The first is a pair of unaweep x2 that have seen many many years of wear. The updraft x2s are noticeably lighter. When I first wore them (after trying on at the store) I could feel the straps in the footbed, but now I don't notice them. I am guessing the thinner sole is the reasoning, and I was used to the thick unaweep sole. Somebody new to chacos might not notice this. They are sized just like my unaweeps so if you are familiar with chaco sizing you shouldn't be surprised.

Comments about Chaco Updraft X2 Sandals - Women's:
I bought these shoes the very beginning of July. I loved them and wore them almost every day for a month. Then I was walking through my yard and they broke. The rubber piece that is down in the sole that holds the strap broke and popped right out. I was very frustrated to pay [$] for a pair of sandals that lasted a month when I have never paid that much for any shoes before now. I seem to be one of the few that this happened to, so I will buy another pair when I get my refund. However, I had to pay my own shipping fees to return the faulty product.

Comments about Chaco Updraft X2 Sandals - Women's:
After trying on other styles of Chacos, I thought they weren't for me. They felt way too stiff and bulky. But then I came across the Updraft style at REI, and what a difference! The sole on these is flexible, which is not only comfortable (incredibly so, actually) but feels much safer when creek wading, etc. I love the design, and they feel really well made. I also need a safe, supportive shoe for my active lifestyle with my young son, whom I'm almost always carrying in a front baby carrier on my chest. That makes sure-footedness that much more important. I love the shoes. I can see myself wearing them thin over the years! *One note, on sizing. I wound up purchasing a full size smaller than what I wear in other shoes, and they fit perfectly. Consider buying down a size if ordering on line. Happy trails!

I lOVED these sandals! They fit well, look good and were so perfect for canoeing on the Boundary waters and most important the portaging. Dragging all the equipment from canoe to shore to campsite to canoe was strenuous and the terrain was NOT even. the toe straps kept the sandal firmly in place. The fabric dried quickly in the canoe. I highly recommend

I love this sandal and want to purchase of this brand. I had foot surgery and the adjustable straps were great for the swelling.

Finally I have found a comfortable pair of Chacos! Just as another reviewer said, I have struggled to like Chacos for a long time, but have greatly needed a pair. I too got the wide, and have never had a wide pair of shoes, but my foot is WAY more comfortable in the wide. The only downside I would say is the heel strap is a little loose b/c my heel is very narrow, but the comfort is great. I can see myself wearing these daily this summer. Thanks Chaco. Great shoe.

Comments about Chaco Updraft X2 Sandals - Women's:
I bought these to hike Coyote Gulch because the majority of the hike is in about 2 inches of water. I bought them about a month before the hike and wore them daily in order to break them in and get my feet used to them. After one day of hiking in the water in the sandals, my feet were torn to shreds where the plasticky part connects the webbing to the sole of the sandal. It's been three weeks and my feet still have scabs. I'm going to return them and try the unaweep sole with a single strap instead of the double. I would not recommend this pair for hiking.

great shoes! need some breaking in at first, try them on before you buy them because they are narrower than normal shoes but that is easily fixable because they come in wide sizes

Your feet conform to the shoe- not the other way around. You have to get used to them.
