The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Ergon PC2 Pedals:
This was a great upgrade from the factory pedals. Easy to pedal with any of my work shoes. Reflectors are large and won't come off.

Comments about Ergon PC2 Pedals:
Put a set on my touring bike, rode 80 miles, feet felt comfortable the entire ride. The new set I got for my racing bike, much more comfortable than my clips. Safer in traffic in the city. Next I will put them on my fixie.

Thought I would hate my Long Haul Trucker, but I was wrong.
Thought I would hate these Pedals, but I was wrong.
Got these to test for touring, but have ridden some kind of clip or SPD all my life, and I am 59, so it has been a long life and I knew I could return these later when I was tired of them.
Well this weekend I did an 80 mile ride on these and enjoyed them very much. They are comfortable and stable, did not scrape in corners (I thought they would) and allowed my changing foot position on the go.
Very good grip in dry weather and for downtown with constant stops they are fantastic. I liked being in running shoes so it was easy to walk around and mounting and dismounting the bike was effortless.
These are well worth a try and I may get another pair to try on my racer out on the bike trail here in Sacramento.

Comments about Ergon PC2 Pedals:
I purchased these in early 2012 after having knee replacement surgery in January, and prior to total hip replacement in May 2012. I read all the good reviews on the Rei website prior to my purchase, as I have numbness in my right foot when cycling and wanted to ensure firm footing. My right foot still experiences numbness around mile 12 of a ride, which is what happens with the platform pedals that came with my Trek 7300. The reason I will be returning them; one day both the soles of my Keen cycling sandels got wet & so did the pedals. I had absolutely no ability to keep my feet securely on the pedals. Since I cannot afford a fall, I have ordered a pair of less expensive, grippy mountain bike pedals that will be installed as soon as they arrive. I appreciate the returns policy at Rei and am very glad to be a member. All "Brick & Mortar" retailers are very short on inventory of platform pedals, carrying clip-ins for the most part.

Comments about Ergon PC2 Pedals:
Conceptually I like these. In terms of comfort they are great. My only fault with them is they scrape the pavement in a lean. I don't typically pedal in a sharp curve, but I do pedal out of it. I don't need something that I have to treat so gingerly for fear of damaging them. Frustrating to spend this much money and scrape both pedals in the first 30 minute ride. Looking for something smaller now. Anyone need a used set cheap?

Comments about Ergon PC2 Pedals:
I'm back into cycling after a total knee replacement. My local REI, after doing a bike fitting, recommended that I avoid clips or toe cages to avoid injuring the replaced knee. That started my search for a good platform pedal.
These pedals really fit the bill. I can wear any shoe I want. The 3M material is remarkably good at avoiding pedal slippage. I feel like I'm able to deliver good power to the pedals and am confident that I can keep my pedal grip.
I also like that reflectors are built in. Sure, they're a little heavier than clips, but overall, I think they're worth it.
This is another great Ergon product.

Comments about Ergon PC2 Pedals:
These pedals make my daily commute SO much nicer!
I love riding my bike to work, but I don't like bicycle shoes. I had "rat-trap" pedals on my bike for the longest time and after longer rides, even in hard-soled shoes or boots, I'd develop hot-spots. No more! These pedals have eliminated that problem. I can wear any shoes I like now! I've even worn Croc thongs with no problems!
Another benefit, no more scraped legs after carrying my bike up to my second floor apartment! It would be nice if they were less expensive like other platform pedals, but these aren't like any other platform pedals! And if you compare to the price of going "clipless", they aren't so expensive after all!

Comments about Ergon PC2 Pedals:
I have a 2006 Raleigh Highway 66 "flat-bar" bike that came with Shimano SPD pedals. Since I do not like being clipped in (too much traffic), and wear sandals a lot due to the summer heat here in Miami, I quickly looked for something else. I tried and discarded the large aluminum platform pedals designed for mountain biking (heavy, flat, can't stand the aggressive pins) and have been reluctantly riding on WTB Momentum flat pedals. When I recently saw that Ergon was making "ergonomic contour pedals" I thought that I would give them a try. My original intention was to use the Ergon PC2 pedals on my "shopping bike" which is rigged to haul max groceries, but since I dislike the WTB pedals on my "faster" bike so much, I mounted the Ergon pedals on the flat-bar bike instead. What a difference! I could never go back. Your foot falls perfectly on the Ergon pedal every time (I bought the large PC2 for my size 11 shoe). The ergonomic position is as they say "intuitively correct". My legs are much less tired after a long ride. The pedal's shape is actually somewhat complex with an inclined surface and a "6-degree twist". End story - it really works. I couldn't be happier. Well actually, the pedal "looks" big on the bike due to it's length. Once you get over the cosmetic change, you will love the pedal. I like the pedals enough that I am ordering two more for our grocery haulers. Since the Ergon PC2 pedals install with just an 8mm Allen key, you might see my somewhat expensive Park PW-3 pedal tool on [@] soon.

Comments about Ergon PC2 Pedals:
I am 66 and got back into riding about 5 years ago. A couple of painful falls while trying the so called 'clipless' pedals (due to failure to remember to unclip) have kept me on platform pedals while wondering if I am the only road bike rider who uses platform pedals.
These Ergon pedals however cured me of any desire to ever again try 'clipless' pedals. The large pad area spreads the pedal effort over a larger area and without the grip ridges or spikes of BMX pedals. I bought a set after reading about them in a bike magazine for my commuter/errand bike. After installing them on my bike, it only took a short ride to prompt me to order another set for my road bike.
The slight concave fit makes it easy to position my feet and the non-slip surface really seems to keep them in place. If you want to reposition your foot, you have to actually take pressure off the pedal to move, sliding while pedaling just doesn't work. Definitely non-slip
