The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Leki Corklite Aergon SpeedLock Trekking Poles - Pair:
Used these on some easy training hikes with rolling hills and limited climbs/descents. They felt comfortable and stable in the muddy/slippery sections of our trail and provided extra confidence.
These really were tested on a recent backpacking trip to Isle Royale National Park. My wife and I each used one pole through the rocky ridge-line climbs and descents. The tips grabbed well on the slick wet rock and mud. As an added bonus, these came in extra handy during stream crossings.
Locking mechanism worked great every time. Pole strength was tested numerous times and they both passed the tests. The lower section of the pole was tough to slide initially, but after a week of heavy use, they now are far easier to adjust. These will join me on my trip to Glacier National Park later this year.

Comments about Leki Corklite Aergon SpeedLock Trekking Poles - Pair:
Great poles. Really increased my stability, especially while carrying a load. I take my daughter hiking with her loaded in my Kid Carrier pack and I can attack more technical terrain with more confidence. The grip is nice, even after I've been sweating. Only problem I've encountered is the strap will pinch the web of my hand occasionally.

Comments about Leki Corklite Aergon SpeedLock Trekking Poles - Pair:
I bought these and found tha they were in the light weight line, well I am 320 pounds right now with a bad knee so realized I needed something from the strong side of Leki's line. Took them back and the store found a discontinued pair of strongs in another city and had them shipped, much better for me. I needed ultimate strength over lightness and now feel I have the right poles thanks to REI!!!

Comments about Leki Corklite Aergon SpeedLock Trekking Poles - Pair:
I purchaced a UL tent that needed trekking poles as support. I have never like poles and saw no good use for them. I carried one full pole and used a cut down one for the rest of the tent support. I was in REI and drawn to the poles again and found this set with the full cork grips, felt great in my hands, light weight, stored small and had quick release. I took the plunge and was extreamly satisfied. The light weight and balance made using the poles just what was intended and they were perfect for holding up my shelter.

Comments about Leki Corklite Aergon SpeedLock Trekking Poles - Pair:
These are my first poles and i love them. i use the poles for walking fitness. They help relieve stress on my joints, provides stability, and upper body fitness. I walk up and down hills and they are especially helpful going downhill, while at the same time working my upper body. Going uphill they take alot stress off my knees and hips. being 5'4" and 140lbs poles have very little vibration and good stiffness. the grip seems a little small but the straps help in providing support. i love the strap adjustment and the fact that they don't tighten on your hand. the straps are a little hard but i am use to them now. i love the fitness tips which are rubber and provide alot of surface area to grip the ground. the speedlocks are great but really havn't adjusted them much so i can't say if they will slip if i adjust them alot.

Comments about Leki Corklite Aergon SpeedLock Trekking Poles - Pair:
I have been using trekking poles almost since they came on the market (before I turned 50) and consider using them as essential for my enjoyment and safety of the back country as carrying water. This was my third pair of Lekis(lost one set, still have a 14-year-old set which are battered but perfectly serviceable).
I bought this set mostly because I had a gift card and was very interested in the speedlocks.
The speedlocks are a vast improvement over the compression locks of the past.
I've used mine for both hiking and snowshoeing, plus a bit of backcountry skiing, and have no complaints. I'm usually using my trekking poles in steep terrain in the Tetons, Rockies, Uintas, or Wasatch, often on very rugged trails or cross country travel.
As a note, I've lost count of the times I've been backpacking or hiking with folks who had cheap trekking poles that suffered broken shafts or failed joints. I carry spare parts for my Lekis and never had to use them.

My first pair of trekking poles and I love them! Used them hiking up a couple of 14'ers this summer and they are now a must have. Also have taken them on a couple weekend backpacking trips. I love the quick adjustments and the grips are really comfortable.

Comments about Leki Corklite Aergon SpeedLock Trekking Poles - Pair:
I've used these Leki poles on three hikes, but now considering leaving them at home. I have size L-XL hands, mens size 10, I believe; not huge. My complaint is that the grips are small and not supportive. Additionally, my hands do not fit the portion that supports the index finger and I seem to always be twisting the pole to find a solid handhold. I have yet to find a comfortable grip. Moreover, the cork seems polished, or hard, and with my sweaty hands I am constantly losing my grip. It is tiring. Other poles at REI have a softer and larger cork grip, but I thought the Leki cork would do a good job absorbing the moisture. Not so.

Comments about Leki Corklite Aergon SpeedLock Trekking Poles - Pair:
I gave these trekking poles a test run over the last couple of days with 20 + miles on the mountain trails. I have had problems with the ball of my foot hurting at the end of the day on my hiking trips and found by using the poles, that was remedied. No foot pain, big plus!
I was able to adjust the poles with the speed locks on the go with no problems. They were sturdy. The straps were placed correctly and are adjustable.
The best thing about Leki is they have a lifetime warranty on product defects!

Comments about Leki Corklite Aergon SpeedLock Trekking Poles - Pair:
I purchased these poles but when I unpackaged them, discovered that one of the straps was mounted backwards. I don't see how these could get the company's quality control but I returned them promptly.
