Comments about Black Diamond Trail Shock Women's Trekking Poles - Pair:

These poles were very easy to use. I have a bad knee and used these poles for our recent trip to Yosemite. I used them about half way up the trail to Half Dome and most of the way back down. These stick very well in the terrain and even stuck well on the granite going up sub dome. They relieved all the pressure from my knees so I was able to hike with no pain. They are light weight, easy to adjust and fold down nicely to fit in my pack. I would highly recommend these.

Comments about Black Diamond Trail Shock Women's Trekking Poles - Pair:

These are easier to adjust than the ones that turn and slide. The styling is nice. The performance is average. They store easily. A tip came off one of the poles the first time I used them.

Comments about Black Diamond Trail Shock Women's Trekking Poles - Pair:

I just got to use these trekking poles on a 14 mile a day back packing trip up to the top of the tallest mountain in AZ. They are really comfortable, the shock absorbing feature is great, and I couldn't have done it without them. They started to give me some blisters on my hands but it was my first time using them so that is understandable. My only complaints would be that they didn't come with rubber tips which would have been nice cause the area I was hiking in was very rocky and the wrist loops are made out of this very soft fuzzy material which is nice and comfortable but I am worried about how it is going to fare after it gets wet! Overall they are great! Oh, and one last thing, these aren't "light weight" per say, and I typically tend to go that route, but I got these because they were still pretty light but listed as much stronger and more durable. I'm glad I decided on these, they are still very light, but feel very sturdy compared to other "light weight" poles I have felt.

hked all over Peru - was invaluable to support a weak knee!

Not so fun finding a new tip in Peru. Suggest REI put on stronger, more durable rubber tips

Comments about Black Diamond Trail Shock Women's Trekking Poles - Pair:

For years my friends have been trying to get me to use trekking poles and I resisted. These were recommended by the knowledgeable sales person at REI due to the locking mechanism and the shocks. I have pretty weak hands and the twist type just would not work for me. I love them! Used them last week for the stairs in Bisbee, AZ (need to get some of those little rubber feet for the city). They have been just wonderful for hiking. Glad I did not wait any longer to get them!

Comments about Black Diamond Trail Shock Women's Trekking Poles - Pair:

I purchased these poles after a recommendation from a friend.
These are great, whether using 1 or 2, for many things. I use these, with tips, for power walking, snowshoeing (I purchased the snow baskets also), hiking, and I carry them in my kayak as there are times one needs them depending on the terrain. They collapse down to a packable level in my duffel bag or luggage.
I've had 3 other sets, different brands, with the screw down tighteners and the flip locks on these poles are much easier to use and I've have no problem with them loosening with use. A three section pole is much more stable than those with 2.
