Comments about Sperry Top-Sider SON-R Feedback Bungee Water Shoes - Men's:

Great for portaging. Excellent traction on rocks and drains quickly when you have to wet foot it. Plus they provide better protection against insect bites than sandals.
I am a minimalist runner/hiker, so if you depend on ankle support, these are not for you.
They fit large, and I bought in my size so I could use them with Sealskinz water proof socks, which are a little bulky. Still, the drawstring should help you snug them up.

Great shoe overall.
