- Panel-loading access to the main compartment facilitates easy packing and unpacking and gives you a quick, easy view of all contents when pack is fully open
- Technically styled, ergonomic pack harness, HDPE framesheet and a single aluminum stay provide stable carrying and lots of comfort
- Top organization pocket stows tickets, passport, pens, small electronics and travel-size bottles; detachable pocket simplifies airport security screening
- Side and front zippered pockets stow a water bottle and an extra layer; all exterior pocket zippers can be secured with standard travel locks (not included)

I love that you can carry this bag onto the plane, and it distributes the weight well. There are plenty of pockets to organize your items, and I have found it rugged and versatile. I bought one and then liked it so much that I bought one for my girlfriend.

I used this for a trip to the Arctic Circle, and I was packing lots of heavy, thick clothing. I was able to pack all that I needed. It was a little tight, but all items were easily accessible and the pack is comfortable. I was also able to fit into overhead compartments on the airplanes... which is a nice benefit as well. I would recommend this for travel, but you might have a hard time camping with it, for more than one or two nights.

I've used this now for two trips; one, a 2-week test vacation (including a back-country portion), and then a 3-week backpacking trip to Europe.
Capacity-wise, it's great. It's easy to access stuff in the main pouch, and there are enough pockets to be useful, but not an absurd amount.
The top pouch is at an awkward angle - it opens towards the ground when the main section is open. This is fine for camping, but a little annoying when used as luggage.
The cover isn't extremely robust, but it's ok. I used the cover to check my bag, but it ended up with a small hole from rubbing against something in transit. Making it stronger would take more weight and space.

There is absolutely nothing I would change about this pack....yes it's just that good. If you pair the pack with lightweight synthetic clothing that washes/dries fast you could easily live out of this pack several weeks while on the road and I've always been able to store it in overhead compartments while flying.
