Comments about URBANEARS Medis Earbuds:
At first these headphones appear to be awesome. Comfortable, good audio, and they stay put when working out with them in. Then the below par durability kicks in. Generally 1 ear will start to drop out and then the other will making these completely useless. This happens with standard use for only a couple of months.
I've had to return THREE pairs of these. Look into other headphones before buying these!

Comments about URBANEARS Medis Earbuds:
I purchased these as a gift for a friend and he could not stop talking about them, so I had to take a listen for myself! The design in itself was what I liked, but the sound quality is also amazing! These never fall out of my ears when I'm doing cardio. Also, these are the first pair of headphones that actually fit my ears, as the modern design is engineered to fit your ear a bit differently than regular earbuds. My new favs.

Comments about URBANEARS Medis Earbuds:
These headphones are my new fave! They snap perfectly into my ear and almost cement into my earlobe. It would take nothing less than a natural disaster to have these headphones fall out of my ears -- FINALLY, a perfect pair to work out. The braided cord is durable and extremely stylish. I would not recommend these for work, as they are not the easiest to pop in and out anytime a coworker walks by to chat. I would absolutely recommend these for travel, airport, hiking, and exercise activities; and the sound is INCREDIBLE. I have experienced everything from Beats by Dre to Monster's Miles Davis Jazz Headphones. For the price, these Urbanears are extremely comparable for sound. The bass is great for anything from techno to an online action flick. Plus, even in black, they are EXTREMELY stylish and match any outfit (from workout to Portlandia hipster).

Comments about URBANEARS Medis Earbuds:
These days I listen mostly to audio books. For this, these are fine. But a less expensive Sony sounds better for music. If you're not a critical listener, these are fine.
On the plus side: they're very comfortable in the ear. Also, they come in a variety of colors, which means you can make them match your outfit.

I bought these after being recommended to the brand by a friend. I instantly fell in love with them and never leave my house without them.

Comments about URBANEARS Medis Earbuds:
It's tough to find headphones that work. I kept buying cheap earphones that had a line remote in them so I could skip songs and listen to pandora when I go running or listen to tune-in radio on my 45 minute bike ride to work. These don't get blown-out due to slight moisture. I know because my wife washed and dried them in the laundry. They still work great. Ive sweated all over these things and still no problem. They do lock in and don't fall out. You have to rotate them so they grab. After a few hours they begin to put strain on, but by then I'm done. Make sure to experiment and try different ear size fittings. It took me a few tries to get it right. Best earphones I've ever owned. They have outlasted 3 pairs of the cheapo's I plowed through. Well worth the money.

I hate writing reviews, but this got to me because I really like the way these fit -- other kinds fall out of my ears -- but after about a year of careful use, one side stopped working. They are not repairable and at[$] are fairly expensive for ipod earbuds, so I am under-whelmed.

Sound is great and the drivers are huge for the style of headphones. And the hands free aspect is great.
That's about where my positive experience with these ended. I first tried using em on a long trip to Asia. After a couple hours watching a movie... my ears hurt.
Then I tried running with them a few times. I must have adjusted/reinserted them about 80 times over the course of a 5k. MISERABLE.
Could I just have mutant shaped ears? I guess.
But the title says it all.
MEH.

Comments about URBANEARS Medis Earbuds:
I received these for Christmas, and was very excited about them - I don't like standard earbuds, but wanted something smaller than over-the-ear headphones, and I wanted the ability to pause my iPod from the line of the earbuds. These seemed perfect. They were great until just the other day, when I dropped them about 18 inches onto my own foot. My iPod was not damaged. The earbuds weren't even jerked out of my ears. And yet the stem connecting the earbuds to the iPod bent, and the left earbud no longer works. I contacted UrbanEars, and they told me that "The plug/pins are put through vigorous testing (to ensure their strength and durability) before they are released to the market but, unfortunately, they are very vulnerable to sideways pressure such as what the pin/plug of your headphones would have experienced when the iPod was dropped."
So pretty much, these are fine, as long as you never bend the pin in any way. Like, say, in your pocket. Or by dropping your iPod out of your pocket while you tie your shoes. Or anything like that which might happen in your normal, everyday life.
I hate to write negative reviews. I almost never do it. But this is unacceptable.

Comments about URBANEARS Medis Earbuds:
I needed some earbuds that would do the 2 things that most earbuds do not.....Sound good, and stay in place. These do both quite well. It does take a few minutes of practicing to figure out how to put them in properly but you'll be glad you took the time. They do not block out external sounds which makes them perfect for outdoor use where it's important to stay aware of your surroundings. I find that the 'Bass Booster' EQ setting on my iphone makes them sound just about perfect. The in-line play/pause button is very handy and the cloth cord keeps tangles to a minimum. Bottom line...these are worth the price and do everything they claim to. Go buy a pair!
