These shoes are IT! I went on a month long camping/hiking trip this summer through the heat of Utah, the wet soil in Montana and Wyoming, the stony ground of Yosemite valley, and the snowy trails of the Sierra Nevada, and they held up on EVERY terrain! They are extremely comfortable, and the Solomon "shoelaces" are a hiker's miracle - I love never having to tie my shoes! They always stay snug on my feet, giving me proper ankle and arch support. The traction is fantastic, and I also get compliments on them almost everytime I wear them! I'm on my second pair, and I plan to buy a third when these ones wear out. You've never experienced trail running like this!!

Never spend that much money on a sport shoe, but I do not regret it.Great support, makes you walk that extra mile more. Sits perfect on my foot and is comfortable even though I do have bunions. First time that I had these kind of shoe laces, which are easy to tighten and you don't have to restring it. The shoe might be a little hot. I will see during summer runs.

I run about 30 miles a week. Trails about once a week. I took this shoe out for a 7 mile run on a fairly technical trail. Going uphill, the lacing system was uncomfortable and the shoe felt way too padded and very clunky.
Downhill it felt very good. The traction worked great on the windy, loose technical trail. My Best friend is an ultra runner and LOVES this shoe. I found it overbuilt. I've been running in New Balance 101's which are much lighter and have a low drop. This was too much shoe for me.

These shoes are super grippy and comfortable. They are so light you can hardly feel them. I love the quick lace system that allows my somewhat narrow foot to get a snug fit without any pressure points on the top of my foot. I have used them on the trail in dry leaves and wet leaves, mud and dirt. I've never slipped! The bottom almost looks like cleats. The bright colors are awesome, and I have high arches, so I love the higher support they offer. No complaints!

I am a dog walker that does a lot of mix terrain walking/running both with and without the dogs. Live in Seattle so needed a shoe that can keep feet dry but breathable too. Didn't need to add my arch support either and that is a plus. I am very hard on my shoes and these took a beating which is fantastic. Need to replace them and planning on getting the same ones but maybe change up the color this time to the purple shoes.

Not only are these shoes awesome for on the trail, their totally good to wear in the office too! Had nasty case of PF a few years ago that left me having to use custom made inserts 24/7. There is plenty of room for the inserts and any squeaking can be dealt with by using Vasioleen.
Love the lacing system on the Saloman shoes. Quick to zip them up and the zip system holds tight. The excess lace can be shoved up into shoe tongue. The lugs are awesome for trail grip for both dry and mud alike.
Oh, and the color (the purple) – lots of complements both in the office and on the trail. I like these shoes so much and they were so comfy, I have a pair for the office and a pair for the trail.

These shoes are great for running through deep mud in the rainy PNW. The treads are so long however that I wouldn't use them for running on hard surfaces because they 'wiggle' a bit when they don't have a bit of give to bite into.
I found them to be sized small, I wear a size 8 in New Balance but a size 6.5 in these. I use superfeet to correct my flat arches and these sneakers have enough body in them to hold my foot correctly without sacrificing flexibility. It'd be great if they were waterproof but they breathe enough that you're never quite sloshing.
