      This is our first hiking backpack, and it is great. There is a ton of storage for all of the essentials you might need for your kids on a hike (food, change of clothes, etc.). I really like the pocket underneath the seat for adding a water bladder. The overall construction is of high quality, and the ride is very comfortable for both myself and my daughter. My daughter is at the very low end of the size spectrum, so hoping that we will get a few more years of use out of this backpack. The only reason I gave this product a 4 star, is because the sun shade kind of sucks. It does not stay open very well and it just collapses on the child's face. This is not a huge deal, and doesn't effect my overall enjoyment.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
