Comments about New Balance MT10 Minimus Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
These are truly minimalist. Not much of any cushion and no support. Exactly the way most of us should be running. The treads do have some decent traction, even on wet surfaces. Great for running, especially on trails. But, also felt great after 10 days of walking around theme parks in Orlando.

I was originally looking at the Merrell Trail Glove and the sales associate informed me that he wears these New Balance minimus shoes and they were at the time almost $40 cheaper than the Merrells. I tried them on and they fit great. I have a narrow foot so finding shoes that fit this good is a hard to come by.

Comments about New Balance MT10 Minimus Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
Most of my life, I was told that I need shoes with a lot of support - arch support, ankle support, orthodics, inserts, padding, gel, air, etc. These shoes offer the opposite - and they rock! The more I wear them, the more I feel all of the muscels in my feet, ankles, and lower leg, developing. I'm beginning to think that everything I've been told in the past about shoes, is a lie. These shoes are super comfortable and fit like a glove. I am especially impressed with the detail that has been focussed on particular areas of the shoe that tend to be loose on other similar styles. These shoes fit snuggly in all the right places and offer incredible comfort. They don't look weird like the 5-finger shoes, but they offer a barefoot feel. I wear them on a daily basis and have come to a point where it is hard to wear any other shoe. I walk differently and feel more balanced and springy in my step. I definitely recommend this shoe.

Comments about New Balance MT10 Minimus Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
I will start by saying these shoes are good depending on what you use them for. If you run on any sort of trails with gravel/rocks...these aren't going to be your best bet. I've had these for several months and run trails on them semi-regularly and they have gotten to the point where I'm over them, any gravel/rock you step on is killer and can really hinder your stride. Now when it comes to lifting and running on treadmills/other activities I love these shoes. Biggest disappointment is the rubber has been pretty steadily falling off the bottom for the last two months on the forefoot of one of the shoes. I'm not sure where there are trails with no rocks, but when if you can find them these shoes are money.

Great for trail running, working out, walking. Feels like you're not wearing shoes. Took awhile to build a callous on my achilles tendon, as the back of the shoe is somewhat stiff and rubs without socks.

After a long day of hiking I want to switch out my boots for a lightweight shoe that is comfortable. This shoe is amazingly light and stuffs easily in my pack. This shoe also doubles as my river wear. This shoe has great traction on slippery rocks and fits comfortably in everything from a dry suit to barefoot. Although I use this shoe for trail running, I limit the distance. These shoes are less padded than most running shoes due to the minimalist approach.

Comments about New Balance MT10 Minimus Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
I bought them as transitions from running in Aasic 2760s. The minimus is a great shoe, maybe buy a size up so your toes have room to splay out.
Barefoot running is dangerous, be sure to train smart.
These felt so great that I got a little too enthusiastic on my first run with them and had a hard time walking for the next few days.

Your Review:
Better than I thought...

Pros:
Breathable, Lightweight, Comfortable, Fast
Best Uses:
Road Running
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Was this a gift?:
No
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
PROS: Super light shoes. Well Priced. Comfortable. Helping me get rid of a 5 year old knee injury (allowing me to run again).
CONS: It may take some time getting use to this style shoe. May wear out sooner than regular running shoes (I'll post an image). They don't offer a women's style MT10 shoe with the men's color scheme (had to post that for my girlfriend).
I road run between 10-12 miles a week (now). After devloping a bad knee from playing soccer and other strenuous acticities (cartlaige), a friend suggested a minimalist style shoe to run in. Before the MT10's, my knee would go out about 1-1.5 miles into a run. I bought the MT10's July 4,2012 (month ago) and can run 2.5 miles without feeling any knee problems during or after my run! I'll gradually up my miles, but first I'll enjoy my ability to run again! Traveling for work-- this means I can run the cities I travel too again-- it's been 5 years since I've been able to do this comfortably.
And YES, I've been to a sports doctor to work out my knee, tried strectching, and fish oil/other supplements to rid the pain... nothing has seem to work until these shoes?
Getting use to these shoes can leave other body parts sore (feet, hips). It's been a month since I bought these shoes, so I'm starting to feel this less and less. I'm not a doctor and don't recomend trading one pain for the other-- but in my case being able to run again GREATLY out weighs seldom hip pain in the morning.
Keep Running!

Comments about New Balance MT10 Minimus Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
I have wide, flat feet, and these shoes fit me great. I came off last year running some barefoot, but really wanted to ditch traditional shoes altogether. I run almost entirely on trail (rock, mud, gravel, etc)This has been a nice shoe to transition into minimalist running. The lightness, ground feel, and are fantastic. The only reason I wouldn't give them 5 stars is I've got under 300 miles on them and one shoe just developed a hole in the forefoot area. Might be a pipe dream to get more durability but it would be nice

Comments about New Balance MT10 Minimus Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
The bottom line is that in a 5k race you will do fine with a little bit of blistering but, any distance further than a 5k will cause severe blistering on your feet on any surface.
Great fast short range shoe.
I recommend this trail shoe to someone who is only running a short distance but, if you are running for longer stints on the trails I would look elsewhere.
