I got these in black and brindle; great decision! At first blush, I wasn't convinced I'd wear them much, but because they were on clearance, I threw caution to the wind. What gave me pause about these is the very thing that makes them work! Because their styling is really neutral, they go with everything. Not a lot of bells and whistles here -- but an abundance of versatility because of that! When none of my other shoes look "right" these little work horses always pull through. They just "work" with everything. They've definitely become my GO TO shoes this summer. I wear them without socks; my feet stay cool and comfortable ALL day. I couldn't be more pleased or surprised!

I wish these would have worked as they are pretty shoes. The heels rubbed and were not comfortable. Thinking it was the sizing, I exchanged it for another but it still didn't work. Too bad, but thanks to REI for taking the return.

I bought these shoes because I needed something stylish that I could wear to work. I actually bought both brindle and black -- Glad I did! They are super comfy - it's like my heel sits in the heel cup and the sole absorbs a lot of impact. I like the shape too (check out [@] to see more piccies), and those two criss-crossing bands have a little elastic on them that helps expand in case your feet are a little wide toward the toe (my left foot is slightly wider than the right, so this is handy).Lastly, the back has a slight rise in the sole to account for rubbing while driving - great to avoid wearing out the backs of shoes.Overall, I recommend them very much.
