    I purchased this for my son as an easter gift. He said he would wear them and wanted them. I let him know I was not buying Keens after, these were his summer shoes. It was too chilly at first and he didn't have any socks to wear with them so he didn't wear them for awhile. Then as it got warmer he said they were to hard to put on. He wears them but not as regularly as he use to wear his Keens that were easier to get on. We will see as summer goes how used they become. He still likes them and wears them. He has not complained about the purchase or made any comments that he wishes he would have purchased something else. I think I should have had him wait a year or two before he got them.

      Since I've got 4 pairs myself, my 7 year old son had been wanting a pair for himself. One trip to REI, he saw these Speeds and decided he had to have it. He loves them; for biking, hiking, playing and traveling. He's excited to show them off to his friends in school when it begins in a couple of weeks.
