Comments about Repel Lemon Eucalyptus Pump-Spray Insect Repellent - 4 fl. oz.:
It's a neat idea, but that's about it. I took this to Yosemite last summer and it failed me. I was being bit by literally thousands of mosquitos. I think that it might have perhaps worked with marginal effectiveness (which is why it earned 2 instead of 1 stars for my review); however, the degree to which it warded off mosquitos was not even close to enough to provide comfort.
Fortunately my friend had packed 3M UltraThon Insect Repellent 34% DEET (which worked wonderfully).
This product does not work as advertised and is not worth it, based on my experiences with it.

Excellent repellent. Works with mosquitoes, black flies and other bugs. You must apply it thoroughly and every few hours. Non-deet, does not melt plastic. Highly recommended.

PRO:
_ Works when applied thoroughly on exposed skin.
CONS:
_ STRONG ODOR, sometimes even funky/moldy smell, that repels humans as well as mosquitoes when first applied.
_ PUMP DOESN'T SPRAY RELIABLY; used the spray's stem to spread over every inch of my skin.
_ Speaking of which, it NEEDS TO BE APPLIED ON EVERY INCH OF EXPOSED SKIN or else mosquitoes bite bare spots.
_ BOTTLE LEAKS; I had to keep them in a Ziploc bag.
_ Says works "for up to 6 hours" but it hasn't yet; needs to be reapplied often, at least every 2 hours. Again, COMPLETELY all over exposed skin.

Comments about Repel Lemon Eucalyptus Pump-Spray Insect Repellent - 4 fl. oz.:
I'm a natural mosquito magnet. In bug-heavy areas, I get eaten alive while my friends are left alone. A good bug repellent is essential.
DEET eats up clothes and gear, and I'd rather not smear it all over my body if I can avoid it. I've tried different DEET-free alternatives with varying degrees of success. This particular spray has been effective for me against thick clouds of mosquitoes in the Cascades and Olympics; however, there are some downsides.
First of all, I have to use a lot of repellent. I aim for full coverage of all exposed skin and thin clothing. Second, I need to reapply every few hours, especially when I'm sweating. The 4 oz. container would be about right for a several days of backpacking in a buggy area. Don't underestimate!
When applied liberally, this stuff can be a life saver.

This product might not work in the high sierras as another user mentioned, but I use it around my yard, doing yard work and such and as long as you apply it everywhere your skin is exposed, it works pretty well. I would rather use a product like this than deet. We get some pretty thick mosquitoes here, and unless the mosquitoes are really bad on a given day/night it works well enough.

Comments about Repel Lemon Eucalyptus Pump-Spray Insect Repellent - 4 fl. oz.:
We decided to try a non-deet mosquitoe repellent during this year's backpack trip in the High Sierras. What a mistake that was! We were eaten alive. We literally had hundreds of bites. The product doesn't work. Period!! Only on the next to last day of our hike did a sympathetic hiker offer us his deet did we get some releive from the bugs.
