The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Salomon Techamphibian 3 Water Shoes - Men's:
This is a good lightweight shoe for wet conditions. However, the cinch on the side doesn't hold the size I set, so the fit's not ideal.
I got blisters just below my ankles from the slippage when I skipped socks. Not blisters when I wear socks.
I like 'em a lot, but wish they held size adjustments at the heel better.

Comments about Salomon Techamphibian 3 Water Shoes - Men's:
I had high hopes for these shoes! As a river instructor, I rely on solid footwear that I can wear day-in and day-out, that dry overnight, and that protect my feet from sharp rocks. These did not feel very sturdy, they take days to dry out, and the solomon lacing system is kind of annoying when getting in and out of kayaks all day. Basically, these are about as good as a pair of old running shoes in terms of being a water shoe. Waking up and putting on cold, clammy shoes is not ideal. I am looking for something better.

Comments about Salomon Techamphibian 3 Water Shoes - Men's:
I've tried just using as a walking shoe, very comfortable. Could wear all day with out my feet getting tired. Wore on one hike and walked in water to test out worked well. I also was testing waterproof socks I purchased at REI. They worked good also. The best test is on Feb 21 with a hike into Aravaipa canyon.
Wished the shoes came higher above my ankles
I have recomended these shoes to several friends.

Shoe lace tightener broke pretty easily, but REI replaced it. Also the tightening straps on the back of the shoe do not stay where you set them. Other than that its a good shoe

Comments about Salomon Techamphibian 3 Water Shoes - Men's:
Bought these shoes for canyoneering when I don't want to wear my 5.10 boots. Lacing system comes loose all the time. On the 3rd time worn lacing system broke - REI give out free replacements from Salomon so obviously a known problem, but I don't need to go back to REI every few weeks. Also poor traction on wet or dry surfaces. A friend wearing the same shoes had a lace loop break the same day, 1st time worn.

Comments about Salomon Techamphibian 3 Water Shoes - Men's:
Where do I start, well I decided to break these shoes in at the water park (what better place to try water oriented shoes), and let me just say they performed flawlessly. These shoes fit and have a comfort level that is consistent with Salomon shoes (Very comfortable). Some reviewers complained about the back strap loosening. I did not experience this throughout two all day trips, plus wearing them casually for several weeks now. Like all Salomon shoes the speed laces do require occasional tightening. As far as drying, they do so quickly. I wear them with and without socks and unlike some other reviewers, I have not had issues with rubbing or blisters (even after walking literally miles, sock-less, throughout the wet/drying out process) and prefer wearing them without socks because of the breath-ability of them on super hot south east US days. I received lots of looks and stares by people wearing various other manufacturers attempts at water oriented shoes/sandals, and could sense a hint of jealousy. All in all I plan to wear the soles off of these bad boys, and have no complaints what so ever.

Comments about Salomon Techamphibian 3 Water Shoes - Men's:
Nothing better for wet adventure! The shoe feels as substantial as any trail runner – you will almost feel guilty getting them wet the first time but that's precisely what they are made for and its evident.
The mesh is a super strong ballistic material that resists sharp edges. Excellent protection, traction and support in a quick drying shoe that is intended to be submerged.
Construction is second to none surviving repeated salt water submersions. At a technical diver, I have submerged these shoes in excess of 9 atmospheres (compressing and decompressing foam sole volume to 1/9 original size)numerous times. The endure hard use inside firm fin pockets (which would normally create abrasion on softer uppers), treks on razor sharp dead coral beaches of Bonaire and hours upon hours of equatorial UV rays - drying in the open sunlight. The materials haven't delaminated, weakened, lost cushioning or worn-out in any way! A must have for adventure where submersion is inevitable. They do it all – run, climb, trek, swim and dive. I find them very comfortable for extended hikes as well and though they are durable, I wear them barefoot all the time and have never had a blister.
At twice the price they would be worth every penny.

This product didn't work for me. I found that the back straps loosened easily, which left the shoe not fitting properly. I found the wet traction to be poor especially on rocks. When the shoes became wet they also rubbed my feet raw, and I have several blisters from a relatively short walk. Returned the product to the store and will try something else.

4 pairs so far. One burned up next to heater in Icelandic hut. Otherwise very durable on PCT, John Muir Trail, Iceland, New Zealand, Patagonia. I put arch supports in for best comfort. However shoelace replacement is very difficult and might be near impossible on the trail. Needs bigger lace eyelets.

This is my 2nd pair from Salomon. These seem much improved and more sturdy. The last pair I had for 7 years so about due for a change. Great for summer with or without socks.
