      I am retired but still work part time at a local garden center, I am on my feet all day, either walking a lot or at times standing for longer periods of time. Employer demands that we have toes covered. This one fits the bill, while still allowing ample breathing. Concrete floors in the greenhouse are often wet, and feet also get wet (when watering plants, for example), plus, we need to walk quickly when serving customers. First, the grip is excellent; I haven't slipped at all or come close to it, even on wet concrete. Second, the comfort of these shoes is wonderful. When my feet get wet, I don't worry, because they dry out quickly again. At the end of the day, I'm tired from work and it feels good to get shoes off, all right, but my feet aren't complaining; i.e., they aren't sore or stiff, nor are my back and legs.

        I'm not normally a sandal wearing guy but this shoe has converted me. I purchased it a few days ago and it is so comfortable I think I'll be wearing it all spring and summer long. The shoe seems to be excellent for driving, walking, and was perfect for the two day trip I took.

          I bought these shoes for work and light hiking, both of which Ive used them for since purchasing but they are primarily work shoes. I needed something that covered my toes, didnt require socks, and breathed very well. I was initially disappointed by the selection that REI had for Teva hiking sandals but took these anyway. After toughing through the buyer's remorse and using them for a few weeks I love them. The more I wear them the better they feel and have served their purpose flawlessly. I normally wear a ten and a half, bought a ten, still feels like there is a bit too much room in the toe but the heel strap seems to eliminate the issue though. These is some solid kicks, not a fan of the style, but its all about function anyway.

          This was the only pair of shoes I wore on 2 week vacation to costa rica, other than flip flops for the beach. Included a fair amount of walking around towns, beach hikes with backpack, canyoning/ziplines/kayaking/water rafting. shoes performed well and was a great overall compromise. great breathability and draining with relative light weight and not too bulky. compromise is only a semiridgid sole. sipes on sole worked well on clean, wet rocks during canyoning but as you might expect did not perform well on mossy rocks (need some sort of lugs to bite in those conditions). When becoming sandy important to clean around the contact points to prevent blisters. Odor developed only after several days of hot, heavy use and was fine after mild cleansing. Held up well so far, recommend them for water shoes and universally for warm weather travel.
