Comments about REI Lunch Sack:
I bought the blue and titanium lunch sack to rotate for my son's lunch bag. I had originally bought a metal lunch box which began to rust just a few months after the school year started. I found these and they're perfect! GREAT alternative to a paper lunch bag, as they are nearly the exact SAME size, with the perks of a handle, reusable, and washable. large enough to fit a small kids 14oz nalgene bottle, sandwich tiffin box and a snack. (with more space to spare) Material is thick and quality and the sack folds into it's own pocket for easy stoarge. Exactly what I was looking for! Also, I use for kids bringing there things in the car. Helps minimize on bringing too many things, they can carry and keep track of there belongings and pick up before they get out. Example: Leap pad and games, action figures, other small toys...

Comments about REI Lunch Sack:
Though I know this is labeled as a lunch sack I use mine for when I go camping as a way to keep better organized. I always want to have my flashlight, deck of cards, small book, etc. at hand, but don't like them sitting all over the place and prefer one convenient location to keep tidy. I simply took 2 cheapie carabiners and connected them with the handles of the lunch sack to hang nicely from my chair. Having it come in several colors means that each member of the family could have their own bag to keep things neat on the campsite - oh how I hate disorganized campsites with little things strewn all over the place.
I also think this would be a nice little gift for someone you need to get a little gift for but aren't sure what would be good. This is the kind of bag someone can keep handy for shopping too - it won't hold a ton of things, but if you're going to the local drug store to pick up a few small items this is a great way to keep green. If you're single and wanting to pick up a few veges at a farmer's market this would probably be nice too (two would be even better for this).
Of course, it would work wonderfully as a lunch sack provided that the food you're planning to eat doesn't require refrigeration. That being said, the smallest REI go box fits inside this bag easily with a little room to spare at the top for a single size bag of chips or other small sized item. On its own it seems like about 4 of the 17 oz. Platypus bottles would fit in nicely and could maybe even accommodate one of those frozen ice block blankets to keep the water cooler for a while. The bag isn't insulated, but it is water resistant so any condensation as the frost on the ice blanket melts is easily wiped up with a paper towel.
