Comments about Merrell Road Glove Road-Running Shoes - Men's:
I got these a little over a month ago and I love them. I am a big fan of the minimalist shoe. These didn't require any break in time. After about 2 weeks of having them I ran a marathon. They didn't cause any blistering or other foot issues. I run in them almost everyday. I have about 130 miles in them with no wear and tear. They do seem to keep in odor, however using some foot powder or spraying them down would help fix that. Maybe my feet are just super stinky. Either way a great shoe.

Comments about Merrell Road Glove Road-Running Shoes - Men's:
I am an avid runner and triathlete averaging about 40 miles per week. I am all about the barefoot movement, but live in an area were there are many hazards that make running without protection very undesirable. These shoes provide the right amount of protection and traction without sacrificing barefoot feel.
I purchased these in march and have run two marathons, several Olympic distance triathlons, and a half ironman and the only sign of wear is that they are a bit stanky. I highly reccomend these shoes and plan on purchasing another pair when they actually wear out.
The only complaint is that I develop blisters if I go sock-less for any distance over 5k.

These things just feel amazing on my feet. I really do love to run in them. Very light, maybe a bit more cushioning then i go for but it will wear down. You do need to wear them out several times amd break them in, get a feel for them and learn how to wear them right. I got blisters on my heels once and several other places but I've got them right now and i love them.

Comments about Merrell Road Glove Road-Running Shoes - Men's:
I've noticed the weird little arch that everyone's been talking about, but I've ran 50+ miles in them and I don't even notice it at all. These shoes are super comfy, the perfect fit, despite my awkwardly shaped feet. A great first time bare-foot shoe, though you have to live in them for a day or two before you take 'em out for a spin. You feel more agile and liberated in these puppies, they conform to you once you lace up. Great for mid-distance running, and speed work. A little awkward during intense lateral movement, you notice the slight mid-foot arch when you squat or deadlift.

Seems to fit the "barefoot" running experience well. Just a little uncomfortable running on trails.

I in the military, and I'm expected to run a lot to keep in shape. I wanted to try out some minimalist running shoes and this pair is great! They are very comfortable and VERY light! I wear them barefoot and they feel amazing! I would like to see different colors.

Havn't run too much in them yet, still working up to it. Otherwise, the shoes are great.

Comments about Merrell Road Glove Road-Running Shoes - Men's:
Bought the Road Runner after burning through the Trail Runner. I am an over-pronater who has thrived on minimalist shoes... ie. Five Fingers, etc. These shoes have rejuvenated my 42 year old, plantar fasciitis afflicted feet. Love the Trail Runners... can't say the same about these shoes. A five mile run out of the box resulted in blisters on both heels as the back is definitely stiffer and angles in more than the Trail Runner. In the end, I am going to stick with the Trail Runner and relegate these to the closet...

Comments about Merrell Road Glove Road-Running Shoes - Men's:
I'm in the military and have been running in vibrams for 3+ years now and still do. But I was looking for something a little more "normal looking" for when I had to do unit PT. The ninja feet comments get a little old...Anyway, these are excellent shoes, fit well, seem to have good quality materials and workmanship. I don't think they will be replacing my Vibrams for every run, but certainly for races and unit PT, when I just don't want to hear the goofy comments.

Comments about Merrell Road Glove Road-Running Shoes - Men's:
I have the Merrill Trail Gloves and enjoy them on trails, but not as much on roads. I was looking for a similar experience on the road. The road gloves are not the exact same thing, but I'm equally happy with them. When I first put them on and walk around, it feels like there is some extra padding on the forefoot and heel when compared to the Trail Glove, but they feel much better and more natural when I'm running. It just feels like I'm running on a flat, firm surface. Feels more like a thin shoe than barefoot, but that's fine with me. I don't need to feel subtle textures or every sharp, little pebble when I'm running around in the dark and can barely see the ground. I can feel coarse textures and can definitely feel when I land too hard.
I'm still somewhat new to running in minimalist shoes, so I haven't run more than 6 miles at a time in these. I don't see these being a problem for 10+ mile runs, which I have done before in more cushioned shoes. If you're new to minimalist shoes, be patient while increasing your distances! I don't have much patience and I injured my foot by running too much, too soon in the Trail Gloves. I don't want to do that again and I am trying my best to be patient :)
