This is a great summer shoe that I can put on with a skirt or jeans, no socks to wear and no open toe exposed. I walked for hours in these shoes without a break-in period and didn't get any blisters. Sometimes you want the comfort of sneakers but with a cuter look. These are not very cushioned for those of you with sensitive feet but I like to feel balanced as if you are almost barefoot yet with the protection, support and sporty look of this shoe.

I bought these to wear at my new standing work station just installed for my job. My work also provided anti-fatigue mats. The minimalist feel of this shoe is great, as I can feel the cushion of the anti-fatigue mat and find it very comfortable to stand all day long. The stylish look of the shoe makes it a great work shoe and I am comfortable to walk all over the building in this shoe. Like going barefoot, but keeping my feet protected. Great shoe for this purpose.

If you live the barefoot lifestyle, this shoe is the best. It looks fine in almost any situation and has a lot more flair than many of the barefoot Mary Janes available. I've got it in two colors and will be on the lookout for more. Works with socks when it's cold and no socks when it's warmer. Totally comfortable and durable so far.

I brought this shoe to SE Asia on two separate trips. I'm most impressed with their versatility. The sole and strap were great for climbing the endless (and somewhat unsafe) temple steps at Angkor Wat. I got them wet while kayaking in Halong Bay. And they provided the perfect amount of protection while walking through the streets of Bangkok. They held up well enough, I now use them on the weekends to visit the Farmer's Market. Great shoe!

I like the style and idea behind these shoes and recommend ordering a size up. When sitting cross legged on the floor the hook for the strap presses into my feet which hurts (I have a 3 year old child). Read up on these shoes before you buy or you might be dissapointed by their "lack" of support.

This is a great shoe, if you have been wearing other barefoot style shoes. I ordered a half a size larger based on other reviews and I am happy with that decision. I have received several compliments on the shoe and would highly recommend this shoe to anyone who is interested in transitioning into barefoot shoes.

I wear these shoes (in aluminum) most days, and I love them! They're my first minimalist shoe, and are very comfortable. You don't get the complete barefoot feeling, as the somewhat stiff sole hides some of the less-prominent textures. The only problem that I have is that they're a little small, both in length and width. My feet are wide, and the toe area is a little too narrow and is not stretchy. I would recommend going a half-size up if you're concerned about either width or length.

I bought these to wear with shorts/capris on a trip when I didn't want to wear my hiking shoes. They were very cute & comfortable. The first few times I wore them, the strap rubbed the top of my foot, but once I broke them in, it didn't bother me anymore. It is like walking barefoot, so you do feel rocks, etc., but I really liked them.

Normally I hate shoe shopping. Almost nothing fits - I have short wide feet with high arches and my feet swell throughout the day. I even have to put special insoles in my regular shoes.

I tried on a pair of these and fell in love with the shoes. They make it feel like I'm walking barefoot, but with protection against sharp objects. And, no need for special insoles. I bought a black pair to wear with dress pants and I find I am wearing them with everything. They are easy to slip on and off so if my feet swell I just slip them off when I'm sitting and slip them back on again when I'm ready to walk.

I too would like to see these in brown and burgandy but I will be buying a pair of denim colored shoes for more casual use. (I will be going up a 1/2 size so I can wear them with socks)

I bought this shoe last year and love it. This year's model looks more like a shoe is better looking. However, I don't like the angle of this strap - cuts at an angle across the foot. I also have high arches and there is no adjustability of this strap. Last year's model looked more casual, however the strap was velcro and works well. I have high arches and the strap must have an adjustable feature in a Mary Jane style of shoe. I hope Merrel can make positive changes to this style for next year.
