Kuhl Liberator Convertible Pants - Men's 30" Inseam is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Length Too Long I cannot rate this product because I did not wear them. I returned the two pair I ordered because the inseam of 30 inches which I ordered and shown on the manufacturer's tag was nearly 32 inches.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost great... almost. I love(ed) this pair of pants for the short time I had them. My wife washed and air dried them after a recent trip to Utah where I wore them 4 out 5 days on the trail. Although they are 77% nylon/23% cotton, that 23% cotton shrunk in length, So much that they were too short for comfort. I'm puzzled by this because my other Kuhl pants never shrink. I am 5'9" and have a 33" waist. I am not out of shape by any means but Kuhls recent pant designs cater to bodies beyond athletic in my opinion. The 32" waist is way too small/tight, the 34" waist (slightly big) fit well enough with a belt, but was too baggy in the legs. For the record, I have 2 pair of Kuhl pants that are 4 years old (waist size 32, inseam 30) and they fit great. I like the direction Kuhl is going in construction and design, but they need to do in-between waist sizes (31,33,35, etc.) if I am going purchase their pants in the future. I recommend this pant for persons with small waists and muscular legs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable but not perfect I keep trying to really like these pants. The fit is pretty good, a bit on the baggy side. I generally wear relaxed fit pants because I have larger legs, but these are even looser than I usually get. If you have a narrow build these will probably be huge. The inseam also runs long, I always buy 32" inseam but needed a 30" with these and they're plenty long. Surprisingly, the waist is dead on. There is a massive tag in the waistband which can rub a bit, but it is rarely noticeable to me. There is almost an overabundance of pockets, I've never actually used a couple of them. The material is comfortable and dries fairly quickly, not as fast as full synthetics, but less plastic feeling which is worth it. Here's my only actual problem with these. I have bought and returned 3 previous pair of them because the seam down the middle of the backside has popped on every one of them. This has happened with each pair within 3-4 uses. Since they are the loosest pants I own, it's not as if they are getting over-stretched by me. Hopefully this pair will hold up, I so want to like them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cool but not durable Nice feel, comfortable, shed water well but wear like wax paper. Seams ripped, seat worn through after 2 Grand Canyon and 1 Sierra backpacking trips, fewer than 20 days total. I wouldn't consider using them for anything but casual, around-town wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Hikers out there ! I bought a pair of these back in the early Spring and have been hiking with them from cool days all the way in to the Texas heat. Just a great pair of hiking pants, best I've ever owned. They cost, but are well worth the investment. Best movement and comfort by far. Also the best convertibles I've ever had. I have a couple of REI Sahara's which I love and still use, but they really do not stack up in terms of flexibility and light weight or fit in comparison. The performance of the convertibles, both removing and putting back on is exceptional. I think what makes these so good is the high quality of the materials used and the workmanship. I plan on being able to hike and take these traveling with me for a long, long time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Eh. Just to preface, I only had these pants for a limited time before returning them -- worn on 2 local day hikes, and a couple trips around town. Materials and build quality were nice (then again, I didn't exactly but them through the wringer). Lightweight fabric and seemed to breathe well. Pockets were a little shallow for my liking, and cargo pockets are horribly placed (on the front of the thighs vs. the side). Biggest complaint was the waistband that always seemed to dig into me... just couldn't get comfortable in these. IMO, there are better pants available. Exchanged these for a pair of prAna Zion pants and couldn't be happier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from fit is tight The gusseted crotch is not as roomy on these pants as other kuhl pants I own in the same size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Pants I have been extremely happy with these pants since the first time out. My friends and I went for a 10 mile hike in what is called the labyrinth. It was intended to be a 5 mile hike, but the freezing storm that rolled in part way through made us think we were lost when we were only a few hundred yards from where we were headed, so we back tracked out. We were pretty miserable because we were soaked and freezing. But the storm passed and within half an hour these pants felt dry. My compression boxers rode up, as always, but there was no discomfort or chafing due to the super soft finish on the inside of these pants. We had to crawl over some pretty large boulders and I had complete freedom of movement to do it. I've worn these on every hiking trip that I've taken since then. The zippers are still working great. I'm not afraid to go for a swim mid hike because I know my pants will dry and keep me feeling good. I've worn these for 3 days at a time getting wet and drying multiple times and they don't smell. These pants look really good, with a nice trim fit. I found the sizing to be pretty accurate. I generally wear 28x30's so the 30" waist is a little big, but no one makes good hiking gear quite small enough for me. The length is dead on. I've never spent any where near this much on a pair of pants before, but this pair is worth it. I'm considering getting another pair, but since I only need one pair per hiking trip I don't really need a second pair.
