The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about nature's bakery Fig Bar:
I wasn't too sure about a "fig bar" but I tried out the apple one today after cycling and I have to say it was quite tasty. I'm very picky and most of the energy type bars just don't appeal to me and I don't like the flavor. This one tasted great and didn't have any weird texture or after taste. I'm definitely going to be stocking up on these instead of the Clif bars. They have a good texture and an excellent flavor.

Comments about nature's bakery Fig Bar:
With the great deal REI gives you when you buy 12 performance food items these are about as cheap as it gets. I've only used them for biking and they are awesome for adding some solid food to the mix on longer rides, a great supplement to gels and assorted drinkables. I like that I can open the package, eat one and save the other for later.
Oh and the best part they are delicious, its hard to wait for to much later to go after the second. I bet these would go over really well with little kids.

Comments about nature's bakery Fig Bar:
I'm preparing resupply boxes for my 2012 PCT thru-hike and I discovered these. They are pretty much fig newtons. As far as sports/energy bars go these are a great bargain. I think they are very tasty: sweet and doughy, good filling to coating ratio. I love fig bars for breakfasts on the trail and these come in a nice two pack which is nice for freshness concerns in the backcountry. There are two fig bars in each pack and each bar is 180 Cal/oz, that is awesome for trail food! Plus no trans fat. I'm a fan.
