The REI Lightweight Polartec® Power Dry® long underwear bottoms are an excellent performance insulation layer for aerobic activities in cold weather.

  • Polartec Power Dry utilizes 2 different yarns on either side of the fabric to enhance comfort: interior yarn wicks moisture, and exterior yarn dries quickly
  • The combination of the 2 yarns helps keep you dry during highly aerobic activities because it moves moisture away from skin faster than single-component fabrics such as cotton
  • Updated fabric protects skin against harmful ultraviolet light with a UPF rating of 20 and is very soft to the touch
  • Flatseam construction is soft and non-chafing next to skin

      I am a smaller-framed guy (5/4, 130lb) and these fit great. It's very, VERY hard for me to find serious adult clothes that fit. These were snug but not tight. I also got the long-sleeve polartec power dry pullover shirt. That too functioned as advertised and fit very well.

        Have used these most everyday while home, walking, and hiking. It was perfect for a 4-day hike-camping in Grand Canyon in late October (in both cold and warm temperatures). Very comfortable and will probably buy a second one as a backup.
