I'm 5'2"/ 100lbs. Size 0 is a little too big for me on my waist. Except that, every thing is perfect. The material is soft and comfortable. It's very stylish and fit to your shape. I wear it for hiking and backpacking every weekend. This is much better than other hiking pants which are bulky design.

I've reached for these a lot of days early this spring, to wear around town, for long drives, for hikes in the cool of dusk. One thing to note: I usually wear a 6 in Prana pants, but in these pants in the green, I took a 4, making them more fitted, less loose and much more attractive. But in the grey, the 4 was too tight, and the 6 was too baggy for my tastes. Variation in fit from color to color and maybe even pair to pair may be an issue. Buying in the store was a good idea with these. The legs are just right too, not too tight, not too loose, unlike some past Prana pants that I've found have too full a leg for me. They're the most flattering, curve-hugging synthetic pants I've found.

Love these pants!
They are comfortable/ soft fabric ... fit and cut are flattering and functional. Hidden drawstring keeps pants from gapping in back. Low rise but not too low. Front pockets are not very deep but I wouldn't carry anything in a front pocket anyway.
I bought them in grey and later bought the green ones too ... if they were available in more colors I'd buy them all. I'm 5'8 and they are plenty long. I could wear these rock climbing or out shopping, etc.
Bit pricey but try to buy them with the 20% off. They are worth it.

I wanted a pair of dedicated hiking pants with enough stretch to wear climbing and fit over additional layers - these meet all of those requirements, plus the fit is quite flattering. More pockets would improve these pants, so be prepared to reach into your pack if you carry much. Also very breathable and comfortable in an array of temperatures!

These were a gift but I picked them out :) I'm stocking up on new hiking pants for travel and local excursions and these are perfect. Super comfortable and I really like that they can convert into long shorts. These pants are flattering and versatile enough to be worn out and about for casual day pants. Mine are grey which is a nice, versatile color.
I am 5'8, about 140lbs and got a size 6/regular length. The length is perfect with my hiking boots. Note: I tried on the prAna monarch pants and the size 6/regular length was a bit too snug in the waist and a touch too short. They must be a different cut? It is unfortunate the prAna sizing is not consistent. Oh well....these Halle pants are great.

These have been my go-to travel pants for the past five months as I've traveled through Hawaii, Australia, and Thailand. The fit remains flattering, even as my weight has fluctuated while traveling. I love that you don't need a belt, the built-in waist tie works well. I was concerned about staining with the light color, but they always wash completely clean. Surprisingly durable fabric, good for warm to cool weather. It's easy to roll up the pant legs if it gets warm, even if you don't want to use the leg snaps. Water repellant. Still in good condition after vigorous use, although one of the buttons came off. Just sew it back on, no big deal. They are sized slightly large, might need to get a smaller size than you normally do. Highly recommended!

The pants as worn on the model show detracting horizontal wrinkles at the top of the legs. In reality, the fit, both front and back, is very smooth. I bought a size 8. I am 5'6" 130 to 135 pounds, with long legs, and these just skim the floor if I wear flat shoes. The waist stays put when you squat down, so no unwanted skin shows from the rear. Although the pants sport belt loops, these do not "need" a belt. I purchased these for casual wear, but they easily pass as appropriate for work. The articulated knees make these wonderfully comfortable. I would think twice about taking these backpacking, as the fabric is quite light, and I fear it may snag on a rock and tear. That said, you could do the splits in these, they stretch so nicely. My only wish is that these came in more colors!

I ordered these on-line. They were delivered to the store for pickup in less than a week. I tried them, they fit great. The service is so outstanding I would highly recommend having your purchases shipped to the store so that you can try them on right away. Plus you can shop the store for matching accessories!
