Comments about Columbia Silver Ridge Convertible Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
I am currently training for a trek across Spain and I was looking for a comfortable, quick drying, light, dual purpose pant. This fits the bill just right. Comfortable from the first time I tried them on. I have gone on several training walks, longest one about two hours and not a single problem. I really like these pants. I think they will be great in the coming Texas heat and just as great in the cool weather of the coast of northern Spain.

Got these at a great deal on clearance. Most of the time I only buy REI Convertiable Pants but could not turn down the deal.Have been very happy with the fit and proformance of these pants!

Comments about Columbia Silver Ridge Convertible Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
Use the pants for light hikes and for jogging on trails. My only concern are the pockets, the mesh material will probably not stand the test of time.
Great pair of pants, now have three pairs.

Took these pants on a trip to Panama and was impressed with how they did not feel too heavy in the hot weather.

I gave these pants to my boyfriend as a gift. They fit him perfectly. He loves them. He especially likes the pockets / style of pockets. I just wish they had ankle zippers - but he did not seem to care. Good color as well.

Comments about Columbia Silver Ridge Convertible Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
Im on the skinner side and most other brands are too baggy around the legs. im 5'7 120 lbs. Columbia is prefect, not too baggy, nor is it too skinny (ive never foulnd anything that is too skinny). This one is supoer light and i use it as swimming trunks if the case arises. Also, other brands ive noticed that are geared towards the slimmer guys is arcteryx(bottoms specifically), mountain hardwear(tops, not sure about bottoms), columbia (bottoms only)

Comments about Columbia Silver Ridge Convertible Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
I got these pants for a trip to Lake Tahoe where I would be hiking and backpacking. They performed awesomely. They were very breatheable and lightweight. When they got wet, they would dry out extremely fast. There is not anything bad to say about these pants. They are a great all around option for outdoor adventures. One thing to beware of is that these pants tend to run small. Normally I am a 30 or 32 but I ended up fitting into a 36 and 38.

Comments about Columbia Silver Ridge Convertible Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
Snagged these at REI on clearence for [$] due to it being the "long" size, which I didn't mind because the length of the long keeps pebbles and dirt out of my boots! Slimmer fit than The North Face pants I also tried. Fabric isn't super high quality, but works well for casual hikes (wouldn't suggest for rock climbing). One thing I don't like is there are no vertical zippers to take the shorts off. So mid-hike if you want to change...you have to take your boots off.
