Comments about BikeGlow Safety Light:
When wrapped around the main frame of the bike it becomes the best night side visibility you could put on your bike!!

Comments about BikeGlow Safety Light:
I could say this light makes us safer and tout all the commuting miles we pound out in winter darkness and that would be true. But more important to us is, these lights are just a fun and novel lighting system.
My only complaint are the little screws that have to be removed to change the batteries. They look pretty easy to strip out. And it's difficult to know if you have them tight enough to ensure a water tight seal. A better option would be some small allen bolts.

Comments about BikeGlow Safety Light:
I work graveyard in downtown Portland so I like to make sure I am highly visible on my commute. I added this to my light collection: 2 headlights, helmet front and back lights, bike tail light and 2 valve stem lights. I ALWAYS have people yelling at me: Merry Christmas; I can SEE you!; and even a police officer stopped to tell me he liked how lit up I am.
My only problem was that the first one I bought quit working on the 3rd trip, after I hit a bump. I contacted the company and they have sent me a replacement. I was pleased that the company was so responsive.

I bought one of these a couple of years ago back home when I took a semester off from college and was commuting to a full time job. This provides excellent visibility, especially since it is colorful. In Seattle, it's good to have anything to stand out on a rainy, foggy, or dark day.
It installs easily on the body of the bike - the package comes with electrical tape, a small screw driver, and directions. This is worth every penny.
I just got another one for my bike here in college (SoCal) and I stand out a ton on campus, which is added fun... and all the cars can see me on our unlit suburban roads!

Comments about BikeGlow Safety Light:
The only problem I have with this light is having to answer to all of the comments people make when I am riding with it on. It has been extremely effective with grabbing the attention of others when I am out and about. I wrote in to BikeGlow to ask them a few questions and they were really cool and nice. Awesome to not only have a great product, but also cool people on the other end supporting it.

Comments about BikeGlow Safety Light:
On just one commute (18 miles each way) I had three people comment from their cars, ask me where I got it and a kid yell "cool bike" from the sidewalk. Clearly a very visible attention getter, which is the point of it. I ride many miles between tired motorists and at this time of the year when we are supposed to be under snow, they don't expect bicycles, so this really helps to stay alive.
Not giving it 5 stars because the connector between battery pack and light wire seems to be low grade. The first time I installed it, the light didn't work. I thought I had broken the wire by bending it too much, but it turned out it was the connector. Reconnected it a few times and then the light was back. Very small pins in there, but if you take care of it and don't disconnect it too often, this should not be a problem
I think I need a second color now :)

Glad to have the extra side visibility on dark rides. Plus, provides the feeling of being in a parade of lights. With two taillights, bright headlight, plus this frame light it gives me more confidence on cross roads.
Not much good at dusk because the flash isn't intense like a headlight, but it is good in the dark.
It allows for more fun!!

Comments about BikeGlow Safety Light:
When I first put the bike glow on my new SS, I was overjoyed. It gave a very customized look to my bare-bones setup and the fiber-optic cord maintained a consistent glow from the tip to the tail.
The first time I took it out for a spin, the light turned off when I hit a small bump. I found that the battery pack had a loose connection and if I simply hit it against my hand, the light would shut off. After some tinkering and replacing the batteries, the light seemed to work fine. It is my belief that the batteries that came with it were worn out and fresh brand-name batteries made the difference.
Unfortunately, the light is almost too visible. About a week after I started using it, I must have caught the attention of some less-than-neighborly characters. I found the bike stripped of lights (I had a front and rear as well) and my locks tampered with. Luckily it was u-bolted. I only left it alone for about half an hour in my friend's backyard so I'm fairly certain that it was the unique appearance of the lights that attracted the thief(s). Living near to a college campus in Tacoma, WA, I decided to cut my losses and just replace the front and rear lights for road laws.
If you store your bike indoors (as you should), this is great. Not sure if my battery pack was a fluke, but I'll never know for sure. Just remember that EVERYONE will see you.

Comments about BikeGlow Safety Light:
I've had this light for one year and I pair this up with spoke lights for increased side visibility while commuting around Anchorage. It's a very effective combination. Unfortunately, jarring ice bumps cause the rope light to shut itself off independent of the switch, and the battery case is neither durable nor moisture resistant, (corrosion). Long term reliability will be an issue.

Comments about BikeGlow Safety Light:
I regularly commute via bike in the Redmond, WA, area. This light really helps with other cars seeing me.
The only problem I can see is that maybe they are seeing me too much? That may sound weird but I think people are gawking which may distract them from driving/riding safely.
