I got this as a gift from my boyfriend and have to say it is one of the most convenient tools to have while doing any type of climbing. I have used it as a daisy chain, since I am usually one of the lightest climbers in our group, and to anchor myself during clean up. Haven't used for anchor yet, since I already have gear for that. The last time I used it I was leading a 5.10 sport route, my arms were ready to give up about 5 feet from the main bolts and I just pulled this awesome sling out, adjusted to make sure by carabiner was on the last loop, then went straight for it and clipped. I am not very tall, so it extended far enough to my exact arm's reach, just perfect. After a few weeks of having this handy tool, my boyfriend decided to get one for himself. :) Just make sure that you get the correct size for yourself! The sling, once it is girth hitched to your harness, should extend far enough for you to extend your arm up and out all the way. If it does not, then is too short for you.

Just got this a few weeks ago... and I love it! Much safer that the classic daisy--basically idiot proof. The 22kN rating for each loop doesn't hurt either.

I always have mine on my harness and it makes cleaning routes a breeze.

The atomic orange (with bright blue end loop; not pictured here) is hard to miss. Super easy to find with a quick glance.

This daisy employs several great features. The major design feature is its use of several separate links chained together. This eliminates the greatest hazard of a classic daisy: clipping through two separate sections, loading only the stitching of one link. If that stitching blows, you're history. In the PAS, each link has a burly 10 lines of stitching, reducing the risk that it will fail.

A few problems I have with this daisy are mostly personal preference, but problems all the same. Often, at the anchors, trying to pull all the stacked rings off the locker to secure yourself is not efficient. Also, as this daisy has broken in, the stiff melted ends on each link sometimes end up catching on each other, creating unsettling jerks when you first load it. Finally, this daisy is about a foot shorter than your standard. If you are using the PAS and a standard, you ALWAYS have to shorten the longer one to load both anchors evenly. I would highly suggest buying a pair, eliminating this problem.

In a nutshell, I prefer the older style daisies, but this one is definitely safer.

I just got this and have used it to clean sport routes and belay a second person up a multi-pitch. I feel way more comfortable on this gear than I ever have on a daisy chain...SOLID.
