Fantastic bike right up till the frame cracked at the headset. This was my girlfriends bike and only saw canal and very light trail riding. We have another novara that has never had an issue but this will be our last. Purchased as a gift from her non-member now deceased mom so no proof of purchase no warranty. The store told me I now have a parts bike! Thanks rei. If you do purchase this bike keep a close eye on the headset and keep your receipt or make sure a member purchases it.

Its amazing how good gear makes activities much more fun and this bike is good gear. I use it for lightly groomed or kind of rough trails and paved bike paths. It's light enough to pick up one handed and well balanced. Handles beautifully and I feel tireless riding the Bonita. Gears change smoothly and the controls are ergonomically placed. Disc brakes stop instantly and the bike itself is visually appealing. I usually have discomfort the next day from other bike seats but I've been surprised on how comfortable the stock seat is on it.

The product is great for its price. I have also a full suspension bike for more rocky/downhill/crazy trails. But this bike is great for most mt.biking trails on Front Range in Colorado.

ONE thing i did not like was poor service. NOBODY bothered to take make measurements and fit the bike properly even though I asked. Very disappointing REI!!!
