Rated4out of5byTinaBinerfromThe right materials but Md was too largeThis was just the jacket I was looking for to replace the discontinued MH tempest. Great to layer over a down sweater or wear in wet weather without a stiff "rain jacket" feel. The lining is soft and comfy, but overall the cut of the jacket is MUCH larger than it should be for a med. The midline to end of sleeve length is at least 3" too long on each side. Too bad I couldn't try out the small in the closeout model.

Rated5out of5byRock Rock OCfromTook a chance, was happy with it.impressed that it has TWO chest pockets, advertising only said 1 chest pocket. One outside, and another inside, on the opposite side.
The inside chest pocket has the earphone jack port setup.
soft inside material, might snag like velcro if you have a trimmed beard. but that is not the jacket's fault, it does keep you warm.
I like that if folds neatly into a reversible pouch that can be used as a travel pillow.
I got this on an every better price on REI's Deal of the Day.
The style is a bit long below the butt, but that is intentional to protect from wind.
The side pockets have access to a pull-string to tighten the jacket bottom while keeping your hands warm the entire time.
zipper worked fine. the external zippers have a thin but strong string loop, so you can work the zipper with gloves.
I got the green Spinach color, medium size. wearing only a t-shirt underneath at the store, it felt roomy, but in cold weather, I would be wearing layers, then the Medium size would feel just right.
No hat, but I knew that before I bought it.
I'll probably use it on hiking day
