The REI Midweight Polartec® Power Dry® Zip top is perfect for hiking, skiing and other outdoor excursions.
- Polartec Power Dry uses 2 different yarns on either side of the fabric to enhance comfort: interior yarn wicks moisture, and exterior yarn dries quickly
- The combination of the 2 yarns helps keep you dry during highly aerobic activities because it moves moisture away from skin faster than single-component fabrics such as cotton
- Center front zipper allows ventilation control, and wind guard with chin wrap increases comfort against skin
- Flatseam construction reduces chafing, and seams are designed to work with pack straps at shoulders
- Underarm and side gussets promote freedom of motion
- Next-to-skin fit hugs the body, maintaining skin contact to boost fabric performance
- Additional length helps garment stay tucked in, and smooth texture of outer surface makes it easy to slide on outer layers
- Fabric offers UPF rating of 30 to protect against harmful UV light

My daughter gave to me (she bought it in Seattle)and liked it so well, I looked for another one at the REI store here in Roseville, California. Couldn't find one. I was so happy to see it available on line. Wore it over a light shirt when I walked the Shamrock Half-Marathon race last Sunday. Washes well.

If you want more reviews, read them on the main site. I could have sworn there were some in the outlet too, but can't find them now. This shirt/baselayer is not as good as the old version in terms of comfort. For some reason, and it may be the seams and not the fabric, it is just a little scratchy. Nothing terrible, but if you are super sensitive, you will be annoyed. I like the color and the fit -- athletic without being too tight anywhere-- and the price can't be beat, especially on sale. Personally, I'll settle for the annoyance.
