        I should have heeded the advice about the tongue of the shoes. I bought them anyway. They really do hurt the front of your ankle, bruises it actually. I don't think they can be broken in. So uncomfortable that I couldn't concentrate on my workout. Returning...

          I loved the fit of these shoes as soon as I slipped them on--great support at arch and toe area, snug and soft BUT--and it's a big BUT- the tongue of the shoe is super stiff and long and presses into the front of my ankle. Despite trimming it with scissors twice, I still get pain and numbness from it, making the shoe totally unwearable. Will have to return. Not sure how Giro could've missed this flaw in the design!?!

            These shoes are a great price, but lack comfort of some other comprable cycling shoes. For some reason, Giro has made the tongue of these shoes very long, and it cut into my ankle. These shoes also run a bit narrow, especially in the heel. Luckily REI is fantastic about returns!
