Rated3out of5byLike a JackalfromDecent so far....I have only put these pants to the test once so far. I am about to do a multi day backpacking trip to really put them to the test and will update the review. Fit is ok, but I wish the inseam was 32, not 30. I am 5'8 approx 135 lbs, the small fits in the waist just fine. The length works only will boots on but not shoes. Performance is good, warm, stretchy and sheds water with ease.

Rated5out of5byCortico-RicfromGreat PantsWore these pants while backpacking in Yosemite in March. Temperatures ranged from 60 degrees during the day to 20 degrees at night. The stretchy material made the pants very comfortable on the steep climbs. The eyelet holes in the cuffs allowed me to bungee the pant legs up above my knees when it was warm. When it was cold, a layer of fleece long underwear made the pants toasty.

Rated4out of5byffejfromLove this pant!I've owned several versions of the ACME pant over the years, and each iteration seems to make it better. The first pair had the thigh pocket come unglued, the 2nd had some stitching come loose in the rear, but this current pair has been great. The tags advertised some new Scholler fabric that was more breathable but just as warm and windblocking, and I'd have to agree. I feel like the pants are lighter and allow for more range of motion, but are still warm, water resistant, and wind resistant, the last of which is the most important to me (hate wind chills!).
I wear these around town on ski trips and whenever it's rainy, as they have some water shedding ability, and are quick drying. I own the REI Mistral pants as well, and the Acme is noticeably beefier.
My one minor issue is that they seem to have updated the zipper pulls, and now they tend to make jingling sounds when I walk. It's not a deal breaker, but it's one of those things that once you hear it, you always notice. However, if you're not looking to sneak up on someone like a ninja or don't need complete silence when walking, it's a non-issue.

Rated5out of5bydoug atlantafromgreat cold weather golf pantsI bought these to wear on a golf trip to scotland Wore them today in atlanta golfing. The weather was 48 degrees and windy Given the bright sunshine they were almost too warm but very comfortable to walk 18 holes in. In cloudy wet weather they would be perfect I like that I can wear them after golf as they look good enough to go to dinner in

Rated5out of5byJAM1223fromGreat active pantsBy far the most flexible pants for hiking. I almost feel like I'm not wearing pants. I hike a lot and these pants are my go to for anything outdoor and active. One of the best features is the bottom cuff that unzips with a gusseted inside to fit over boots or give a more loose fitting bottom cuff. This may sound standard, but most other pants will unzip and leave you with pant legs that are flapping around. These basically give you an extra inch or 2 to give you room in the ankles if needed. I suggest you look out for a sale to make the pants more affordable!
