Comments about Garmont 9.81 Escape Trail-Running Shoes - Men's - 2010 Closeout:
I like this shoe a lot! But beware, it runs a full size small. Not sure why I didn't heed the advice of other reviewers across the world wide web, but I should have. I wear size 12 in every other shoe I own, and have worn for quite some time now. But a 12 was too tight and uncomfortable after less than 5 minutes of walking. I returned them for a 13, and they fit great. I've used them hiking, trail running, and recently spelunking in a cave. Not the greatest shoes but I've very satisfied. I'd recommend them, but I'd probably give them an 8/10. Good luck shopping, and remember, they run SMALL.

Comments about Garmont 9.81 Escape Trail-Running Shoes - Men's - 2010 Closeout:
Really wanted to love these shoes but they are huge overall and narrow in the pinky and second toe. So despite the massive volume, the toe tapers wierd. I just tool this show to Grand Gulch on Cedar Mesa for five days and it took me a while to dial it in. If I laced tight to compensate for the large size, it pulled the toe box too close to my outer toes and created hot spots. My solution was to keep them loose and just slosh around. I'll keep these for yard work.
