Comments about Salomon Quest Access X60 Ski Boots - Women's:
I received these boots as a Christmas present from my husband. They are a great fit and they are very easy to get on. They are also easy to walk in since they have a walk/ski adjustment on the back. They is a great padded lining that keep the feet pretty warm.I am sending them back only because I think that the right boot in the pair I have is defective. My left boot feels great on my foot, but the right boot causes serious pain on the inside of my foot below my ankle bone. The pain starts the minute I put them on, and continues to worsen as the day goes on. It is not a rubbing or chaffing, it is a bone pain. That is why I think there must be a slight abnormality in the right boot of this specific pair. I have skied in them on two ski trips, then for the next two trips, I wore my old boots with no problem. I tried the Solomon boots a third time and had to sit out half the day of skiing because of the foot pain. We are currently living in Japan, and I tried on this exact boot at a Japanese store before ordering them at REI. (With the Yen exchange rate, these boots would've easily cost over $400.00 US dollars). They felt fine in the store. I would recommend these boots because I think they are one of the best ski boots out there, but my right boot may have a defect. I wish I could keep them, but I think this is just one of these times that something went wrong with the specific pair that I got. I have the 25.5 women's and usually wear a 7 1/2.
