Comments about Zoic Black Market Convertible Bike Pants - Men's:
I commute 18 miles in these puppies. I love the reflective stripe when you roll the pants, but as others have mentioned, the buttonhole is strange.
I'm used to wearing pants like the REI convertible hiking pants when bike commuting. These are the first proper biking pants that I've bought, and they were definitely worth it. I love the stretchy, responsive feel.

Comments about Zoic Black Market Convertible Bike Pants - Men's:
I use these pants for late Fall early Winter commuting, (around 20 km) but they can be used just as well in the summer. I use some Novarra riding shorts then however. Like to use these pants when it just gets cold enough to switch from shorts, such as when the mornings are about 2 degrees C. Easy to ride in, nice to have the reflective strips in the legs for the ride home, pockets are secure and versatile and the padding is very good. Easy to care for as well and I like the removable inner liner which I can't do with the Novarra shorts. Easier to wash that way. Pretty quick drying which is helpful cause we hang our wash instead of using a dryer.

Comments about Zoic Black Market Convertible Bike Pants - Men's:
Good quality! You get essentially 3 things for the price of one. Pants, Shorts, and a Liner. Pretty good value all together because I'm most cases you would spend this much on only pants. The awesome part is that the liner is removable so you can wear the pants without the padding. Makes it perfect for around town or even hiking.
Not sure about durability yet but we shall see how it holds up with time! No worries there since REI has the best customer service.

Comments about Zoic Black Market Convertible Bike Pants - Men's:
Just took my first ride wearing these pants (shorts mode) and love them. The liner pants are a very breathable, quick-drying mesh with great padding. The pants have a little stretch, making them very comfortable. They can be worn without the liner for other uses - hiking, casual wear, etc.
Pocket layout is very handy. The right diagonal pocket contains an eyeglass chamois. Oddly, it seems to leave a smudge on my glasses. Maybe I just haven't figured it out yet.
The cuffs fold up to reveal reflective tape. They are held up with 2 buttons fastened at the cuff. As a result, there are button-holes on the calf. That's a little odd. I have not tried riding with the cuffs up yet. But I think it would be better to use velcro. It would also be nice to be able to tighten the cuffs around my ankles with velcro when they are down. The legs are on the narrow side, which makes sense for cycling pants. But I wish there were zippers on the legs to make it easier to get over shoes. It would be nice to see another non-convertible model with windproof fabric on the font. All that being said, I still think they are great pants. It's like getting pants and shorts for the same price.
I am 5'10", 185lbs with a 36" waist. I tried large and extra large. The XL fit great.
