Comments about Scarpa T4 75mm Backcountry Boots:

I bought this boot for backcountry touring in fairly rugged terrain, in conjunction with the Rossignol BC110 skis and the Rottefella Chili Telemark binding. So far the boots have been very comfortable, and have kept my feet warm in temperatures down to the teens. Ski touring where I live often consists of lots of uphill and downhill travel, and very little level ground. These boots flex extremely well when traveling uphill or on level ground, yet offer good support for making turns on the way downhill. They are definitely too heavy for groomed Nordic trails, and too heavy for someone skiing on level or gently rolling terrain. But for someone who wants to tour in rugged, mountainous terrain, they are an excellent choice.
