Comments about K2 Maysis Double Boa Snowboard Boots - 2011/2012:
After getting 2 black toe nails in one day this season, I decided to ditch my 3 year old shoes. My toes are wider than standard shoes. (sign of old age?) tried 5-6 different pairs of shoes. Cannot get snug fit without hurting my toe nail. I used to wear size 8.5 but changed to 9.5 as I get older. This boot wears most comfortable at size 8.5 for me.
Bought it and rode over 10 days during high season. Went everywhere - groom blue trails, black diamon runs, and moguls. My black toes are actually getting better despite daily riding. Very comfortable. Double boa means more comfort. Elamite hot spots in traditional lacing. Flex is medium. Which is just right for me, but can also be tighten with quick turn of boa knots.

Comments about K2 Maysis Double Boa Snowboard Boots - 2011/2012:
I initially picked these up because of their nice styling and my desire for a quick lacing system.
While the liners themselves on these boots are nice, a bit on the kush side, they lack any real liner lacing system. The internal BOA just bites into your shins as you lean forward even when loose, and the top part of the liner is only tightened when you tighten the external shell BOA, this hardly helps to create any real supportive fit of the liner around your foot.
K2 should drop this gimmcky BOA Condra system they are using and switch to traditional liner lacing systems that have been proven to work by all the other major brands out there. They should keep the liners however.
I returned these and really took the time to find a proper fitting boot, which ended up being a high end snowboard boot with tradition laces made by Nike (which unfortunately I couldn't get from REI).
