Strong and lightweight, the Fischer BCX Variolight backcountry ski poles adjust for the terrain and snow conditions. They're great for snowshoeing, too.
- Adjustable 2-section poles with secure, no-slip clamping mechanisms adjust in length from 95cm up to 155cm (37 - 61 in.)
- Strong 7075 aluminum alloy shafts supply an excellent strength-to-weight ratio
- Cork grips are lightweight, and they effectively absorb perspiration and stay warm to the touch
- Powder baskets keep poles from sinking in soft snow
- Fischer BCX Variolight ski poles have steel tips that dig into hard snow and icy slopes

We just returned two pairs. We tried them on the snow and they locked themselves to the point that you can not get them back to extend again.
