The lightweight Fischer S-Bound 88 skis let you carve turns and cover a lot of ground on your backcountry tours. Sidecut and a specially tuned camber keep the skis lively in soft snow.

  • Fiberglass wood cores feature air channels that keep weight down while maintaining good strength and durability
  • Features 5/10 Nordic Rocker camber that gives the skis great turning characteristics and control in variable snow conditions
  • 5/10 Nordic Rocker indicates that when pressure is applied the ski tips lift 5mm and the location of the ski-to-snow contact point at the front of the skis moves back 10cm
  • Offtrack Crown waxless pattern on the bases provides good grip while you're touring in fresh snow
  • Full metal edges dig into hard snow and ice to optimize control on steep terrain
  • Universal stone grind on the bases of the Fischer S-Bound 88 skis provides good glide in all snow conditions

Comments about Fischer S-Bound 88 Backcountry Skis:

I have spent the last couple of years renting skis for the perfect pair with little luck. My daughter just bought these skis and I borrowed them to ski the Snowy Range in Wyoming last weekend and was extremely impressed with the performance. When we got back to Colorado we went straight to REI and bought the same pair. I had purchased the Alpina 3-pin boots at christmas after trying a number of brands and really like this boot for comfort and support. I cant beleive the difference in a 3-pin and bar boot and binding but the differences are huge. I have better control in turns and climbing with the 3-pin binding.

Comments about Fischer S-Bound 88 Backcountry Skis:

We ski backcountry trails in Alaska, and purchased these skis as a package with the Fischer BCX675 boots. I formerly had a pair of Karhu Oddyseys that I tolerated for several years before buying these, and they're a tremendous improvement. Very easy turning, very controllable, and I think faster than the Karhus. I'm very satisfied- so far, no downside.
