bought skirt to walk kids to school for my mile walk. love it!!! it's high-waisted so i bought a size bigger. that way it can sit lower at my hips. love that it is super long (5'3" and hits close to my ankles). it's warm alone but even warmer paired with tights and boots. we're in ATL so thick tights and this skirt will get me through high 20s still plenty warm. have worn through light rain and windy days and still love it. love that i can unzip the skirt to cool down when i'm in the (really warm) school. zipped all the way down can be a little cumbersome to walk full stride but i'd imagine would come in handy if i'm standing around, like if i had to work carpool, at a game or after comeing back from a long hike. would give it 5 stars if it were lower cut.

This is an incredible product. It has zippers all the way up so you just slip it on over your pants, jeans, skirt, dress or whatever you are wearing. Keeps you warm while skiing or on your way to work or class. This is a brilliant idea, I just wish I would have purchased one sooner.

I recently bought this skirt and took in on a camping trip hoping it would be cold enough to try out. As it turned out, the mountain camp was covered in snow (40s during the day, but below freezing as soon as the sun turned down)! If you weren't moving around, you cooled quickly. However, with this skirt over just a mid- or heavyweight baselayer proved to be plenty warm. I was pleasantly surprised! The side zips allow you to move around with greater ease and the skirt itself acted like a nice blanket wrapped around your legs. I wore this sitting by the fire, hiking the dogs, setting up/tearing down camp, etc. I didn't expect this to be such a versatile and functional item.

I'm always looking for the most comfortable and useable clothes for backpacking. This was great for the cool nights we've been having and is so lightweight I didn't even notice it. I'm 6'4" and it fits quite well, though a few extra inches in length would make it perfect.

The only reason I bought this skirt is that it was on sale, now I would gladly pay full price for one! I use the down short one for skiing and winter bike rides and the long for skiing and after when we are just hanging around talking. I wore the short down one is -10 degree weather on a bike ride and it kept my butt warm. Next morning I wore the long one for a -11 degree ski and stayed toasty!

I've had one for a couple of years now and still think of all the times in my life before that I could have really used one! Bus duty at the school I work at, walking across freezing campuses, hikes with the dogs... They really do make life in cold climates more comfortable! So easy to throw over work clothes! The size zippers make it easily adjustable for the cold and range of motion.
