I'm trying to replace a pair of wonderful warm REI brand mitts I bought 2-3 yrs ago. These Grandoe mitts are comparable except the thumbs are too skinny. I'm prone to cold hands and I know the thumbs in these mitts will not keep my thumbs warm enough while xc skiing. I'll have to return these and try for something with roomier thumbs. My hands are 7.5"L x 7.5"circ and I bought a size L.
