The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Black Diamond Momentum SA Climbing Harness:
Great harness, easy to put on and has everything you would need for a typical day of craggin. Love the speedy buckle adjustment. I wouldn't want to sit in a hanging belay for too long in this thing. For the price you can't go wrong here though.

Comments about Black Diamond Momentum SA Climbing Harness:
I am a 5'11" male with a 33-34" waist. I purchased the large version of this harness expecting it to fit perfectly. Unfortunately, the harness would not fit centered. If you center the front loops the back of the harness is off center (to the right). The rear leg straps would also be off center with the strap for the left let being above the right buttock. It is as though the harness was meant to be tightened all the way till both sides of the foam belt are touching/overlapping. I went back to the store to try a XL only to find that it fit basically the same except with not much room to tighten the waist strap.
I suggest you try this harness on in the store, make sure it fits you well and the front and back are symmetrical when wearing. If you are like me, you may need to try another harness.
Other than this one complaint, I can see where this harness would be exceptional should it fit you well.

Comments about Black Diamond Momentum SA Climbing Harness:
This harness is super comfy. The pads are thin and light, but surpsingly comfortable. No circulation cut off, and no hassle putting on. The auto sinching leg straps are extremely convenient and overall the harness fits extraordinarily well. Definitely worth the price!

Comments about Black Diamond Momentum SA Climbing Harness:
I like the simplicity and the price point. Overall fun harness a very grab and go deal. I do not like the leg loops however. Little to no adjustability. It does what i ask it to do, indoor climbing, fast and easy.

Comments about Black Diamond Momentum SA Climbing Harness:
At its price point, I would recommend this harness to anyone considering it. I climb 3-5 times a week and had this harness for over a year and ended up retiring it due to sizing before it ever wore out on me.
The leg loops are fool proof and the waist adjustment is easy with the auto-double-backing buckles. The harness weighs marginally more than harnesses that cost almost three times as much.
If you are looking for an "all-around" harness that would fit the needs of a recreational climber, this harness is great.

Comments about Black Diamond Momentum SA Climbing Harness:
I used to have the BD older model, the Momentum AL harness which was a bit bulky but it was definitely comfortable. I purchased the Momentum SA harness when my gear was unfortunately stolen. It was a bit uncomfortable when I first tried in on and hanging on it. I thought that I just had to break it in a little. A little over a year later and I'm still "breaking in" the harness.
I mainly used this harness for single pitch sport routes, and if you are going to use it for that then you will have no problems. I'm in the process of learning proper multi-pitch techniques and anchor building (I eventually will learn to use pro for trad). The pain started when on a hanging belay. This harness is NOT COMFORTABLE ON A HANGING BELAY or just hanging in the harness in general. The waist belt felt as if it were cutting into my sides trying to split me in two. The legs loops were also digging in and was cutting circulation off. I was miserable and it was just a two pitch climb! Black Diamond's older AL model is a significantly much more comfortable harness. If I were to buy a budget harness, I would buy the Momentum AL or another brand of harness.
This harness is best used for sport climbing where you will not be hanging in your harness for extended periods of time. The speed adjust system for your legs is really convenient especially if your letting other people use your harness.
I ended up returning this back to REI and I actually purchased an Arc'teryx R320a harness...."omg" is all i will say. that will be on another review

Comments about Black Diamond Momentum SA Climbing Harness:
I really like all of my other BD gear (and I have quite a bit). But this harness was just not for me. First, it was way too big. I am about a 32 inch waist and the medium felt way too big. Once I got it synched down it was pretty much as tight as it could go and was way to the side. Second, I found that hanging in the harness for any more than a minute became really uncomfortable.
I went to REI and tried on the Petzl and it fit me much better, and I ended up returning this harness for that one.
Overall this didn't seem like a bad product, but if you have a smaller waist for your size, this will probably not work for you. I would, however, suggest this to those with a different body type.

Comments about Black Diamond Momentum SA Climbing Harness:
I got this harness after a recommendation from a friend. For the price, it doesn't get much better. The only complaint I have is that the size medium is just a little too big for my 28 inch waist and the small sized harness was too small.
However, the pros are incredibly numerous. Despite the size problem I have, it's still an incredibly comfortable harness. It's very simple to put on and use and is padded very nicely. The loops on the waist and on the back are also a nice feature that allow for quick access to chalk bags, belay systems, etc.
For the price, this harness is excellent and I can see myself using it for a very long time.
