On the upside:
It actually fits well. I'm 5'4", 105lbs, small boned, and curvy. Often things don't fit me well.

Downside:
I wanted to have a long coat that I could throw on and be warm while spending long periods of time outside playing with my son. I tend to be cold, and since I live in a mild climate, I haven't purchased a down coat. I thought this would keep me warm, and be resistant to stains. I found it too stiff and uncomfortable, and wasn't convinced that it would be warm enough for me.
There seemed to be a pucker at the bottom of the zipper.Also, I was surprised by the color Medici. I wish Merrell would have just called it plum, because that is what it is.

I returned it today.

I bought this jacket this year after trying to find a similar jacket by Merrell last year near the end of the season with no luck. I am 5'10" and 220lbs. larger chest, larger hips/butt and the XL fits me quite well. Can just barely fit a hoodie under it. The length is great and I love that the zipper can be zipped up from the bottom. The zipper sticks a little sometimes at the bottom and when I zip all the way up. But not enough for me to really care. I do wish the sleeves were just a tad longer. I was looking for a dressier coat, but something more durable. I have a little trouble getting sleeve #2 on, but again, not really an issue since I like it fit a little more snug. The one thing I noticed is that the seam across the upper back hits and it tight on my shoulder blade, only when I'm driving. I live in Northern MN/WI and I wouldn't wear it when spending large amount of time outdoors, but it's perfect for day to day activity in the winter (so far) and for those special occasions when I don't want to wear my ski jacket. I like the way to hood lays on my back, and the collar is great for wind protection when you don't want to ruin your hair with a hood. The inside is very soft and the pockets are at a great height/location. I've gotten lots of compliments, overall very nice coat.
