Comments about Mountain Hardwear Mountain Tech Vest - Men's:
I am going to San Francisco and the Pacific Northwest in the coming months and wanted a lightweight vest that could be layered with other clothes.
It is very lightweight, windproof, yet warm enough to wear with just a t-shirt in 45 degree weather. Perfect for a cool early Spring morning in Texas and yet breathable for when the sun breaks out and warms up.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Mountain Tech Vest - Men's:
I love this vest! I always thought whats the point of buying a vest! If I'm cold I have a jacket, and if I'm warm I don't need anything. Well, when I finally bought this vest and wore it on a camping trip around Colorado. I found it's perfect for all temp ranges and altitudes. Most of the time I don't need a jacket because it keeps my core so warm the rest of my body stays warm. If it's 60-70 degrees and you're hiking in the mountains and there's that chilly breeze coming down the vest stops the wind and maintains your warmth without over heating.
Now in the winter as a mid-layer it has performed better than I would have guessed. All winter in temp ranging from 20 below too 50 above this vest has been there. On the coldest days I have a base, the vest(mid), and a hoody over and been plenty warm. When it was 20 below a few weeks ago I change the hoody for coveralls, but kept the vest.
I work outside 85% of the time and this vest is with me always, for the exception of temps around 80-100 degrees. Bottom line I'm more than happy with it:)

I wear this vest all the time. Truly a great product. I am partial to MH, the quality and fit for me is great. Does what it says it does and holds up very well. Wish it came in Grey.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Mountain Tech Vest - Men's:
I wear this most every day in all conditions. It's a close fit, so it layers well under a shell if I need additional water/wind protection. I haven't had it long enough to truly describe its durability, but if it's like the other Mountain Hardware soft-goods that I own, I'm sure it's bomb-proof, too!

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Mountain Tech Vest - Men's:
I really like the vest. It is light weight but very warm. I wear it for work. I wear it without having to wear a bulky jacket, and it helps me stay mobile. The only negative thing I can say is that it is expensive.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Mountain Tech Vest - Men's:
Excellent vest. Fit is great - athletic cut, true to size. I tend to wear medium jackets and the medium in the vest was perfect. Of note is the windblocking ability of the vest- it doesn't let a thing true while still remaining very breathable. For brisk days, the vest goes great over a long sleeve shirt. On cold days, it's perfect for layering under my Gamma MX softshell.
It also works great around town - I can wear this under a button down with slacks and look fine at a party. No one ever knows it's a technical trail piece as well.
