I bought this as a warm up cover at the gym before getting into strenuous exercise or spinning class. It allows complete freedom of movement. I usually do some foundation exercises (yoga like) during warm up and it's like second skin. An added plus is it looks great and I've worn it out and about. I bought a medium and it fits true to size albeit snug. Been through several washings with no problems.

Liked the shirt, fit and comfort were great, HOWEVER, this shirt was a SNAG magnet, I had 3 snags after a couple of wears in a 2 week period and returned it. Has to be something wrong with the design/material or something, I have never had this issue with any other shirt, ever.

I like the fit and it's really comfortable. My only gripe is that a few strands of material have broke and pulled through on the material leaving visible marks. Personally I don't care about how it looks but some might. I got it on clearance so it was still a good deal and I wear it all the time...

This has been mentioned quite a lot in other reviews, so apologies for the redundancy, but this shirt snags very, very easily. I had it on for an hour or less and it had a snag, and it's not the kind of snag that you can wiggle out. Since then, I've got several more snags, on all three shirts that I bought. I still wear them, and I still really like them (supremely comfortable), but wouldn't buy this product again because of the snagginess. A real pity because this shirt is otherwise one of my fav REI clothing products.

    I bought this in excitement upon seeing the ninja sleeves (and sweet cayenne color), perfect for cold weather and meshing arm with glove. But after 3 uses the sleeves look as though they've been attacked by velcro...you know the look: frayed, snagged and mangled threads. The shirt has never met velcro. Only other, like-minded synthetics and a touch of organic cotton ;)

    I'm bummed. This one will be going back.

      The product keeps you very warm and the inside is very soft. But the product has horrible durability.
      I made the mistake of wearing this on a hike cause as a mid layer in chilly conditions, but it snagged all over the place.
      It seems like you should not wear this anywhere other than while running on the side walk i.e places where you avoid any sort of abrasion of the shirt.
      Also once I get my hands into the thumb holders the sleeve becomes very tight and I don't think I have exceptionally long arms. They have to make the sleeves a little bit longer.

        I treat this as a mid-layer for mild weather. The thumbloops make it easy to slip the sleeves into a snugger layer over the top if it gets chilly. And REI finally added some protection to the top of the zipper to keep it from catching on beard hairs!

        Just beware if you have velcro anywhere nearby as it will snag and start looking awful before you even know what happened! If I'd known it was so vulnerable to velcro, I would have bought a different garment.
