Comments about Coleman Signature High Tech CPX Lantern:
We used this lamp mainly for in tent. When we took it outside it did not really give more light then the campfire already had. Using the lamp as it got dark it didn't seem to be very bright. But once we got use to darkness and then entered tent it was perfect. Very "respectful" lamp. Not so overpoweringly bright it effect and distracts others from their camping adventures. Soft light so not harsh on eyes and great dimming/brightening range. Can buy a battery set up is wonderful. You can charge in car or at outlet (car charging feature VERY convienent) and has extremely long running time, up to 67 hours!!! You can also use 4 Ds. Worked wonders in Death Valley.

Comments about Coleman Signature High Tech CPX Lantern:
Great lantern for the price. Nice lumen output without having to see the glaring LED's. I was going to get the Black Diamond Titan, but saw that this had a rechargable battery pack that can be purchased seperately. It also seemed more sturdy than the Titan. It is a little weighty, but it's not really the kind of light you would take backpacking anyway. It is lighter than all the other D cell battery lanterns that REI sells. I will be buying a second one soon.
