As minimal as an 8-piece rack on an alpine ridge climb, the Patagonia Ultralight Down jacket supports ascent without excess. It's made with top-notch 800-fill goose down and a special edition ripstop.

  • A slim silhouette maximizes thermal efficiency and suits the Ultralight jacket's ideal uses
  • Wear it as a belay parka over light layers at shady autumn crags or layered under a shell for unmatched warmth; also great for minimalist summer alpine bivies
  • Special edition nylon ripstop shell fabric is half the weight and has twice the strength of other Patagonia down shell fabrics
  • Durable Water Repellent finish causes water to bead up and roll off, fending off light rain showers and snow
  • 800-fill-power premium European goose down yields tremendous warmth with low weight and low bulk
  • Sewn-through construction, a tight channel pattern and just the right amount of down increase versatility for use in more moderate temperatures and diverse activities
  • Drawcord hem seals in warm air and keeps out cold and spindrift
  • Includes 2 handwarmer pockets and 1 chest pocket
  • Patagonia Ultralight Down jacket comes with a stuff sack

Comments about Patagonia Ultralight Down Jacket - Men's:

I'm 6'1, 160lbs and ordered a medium. The length in the arms was great, but the cut around the mid section was too baggy. I'm returning for a small. Overall, great looking jacket that grabs people's attention when you walk into a room, and looks awesome while riding your bike.

Comments about Patagonia Ultralight Down Jacket - Men's:

Got this jacket before it was in stores from REI online. [...]Started having buyers remorse until I tried it on. As soon as I put it on I went to the sink to test the water resistant outer coating. Water just beaded off of the sleeve like it was nothing. This jacket makes my arcteryx fleece feel like its weighs a ton. I can't believe how light it is for how warm it feels. It packs down in its included stuff sack to the size of a softball and it fits perfect under my Gore Tex Pac-Lite Shell. I think this is the only layer I will need and with the water resistant coating it makes for not having to worry to put on your outer shell in such a hurry. Outer material seems very strong for how light weight it is. Only negative is that the fit seems a little slim but Patagonia says that it runs slim to allow for better insulating around the body. I guess if it bugs me too bad I can return it for one size up. All in all I think this should be a purchase that I will use for many years.
