The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Manduka Black Mat PRO Yoga Mat:
I plan to have it for the rest of my life. I'm 5'6" and my Yoga poses fit on mat with room to spare and I can kneel in comfort. Yeah!

Comments about Manduka Black Mat PRO Yoga Mat:
I just purchased one of these from my local REI this past weekend, and have since used it during a couple of sweaty, vigorous sessions (standard vinyasa and Ashtanga).
This mat DOES NOT BUDGE - which was a bit of a problem for me with my previous mat when going through any kind of transition that required rotating my feet while on the mat, or even in adho mukha svanasana (the mat would stretch apart, lengthwise) - but not a problem any more!
It slips a bit if it gets wet, but that's not surprising, and it's not excessive at all - very manageable (either keep a towel handy to wipe yourself down every so often, put one on the mat, or just work on building up the strength to overcome the slipperiness - which again, is minimal).
There is a slight plastic smell noticeable only when my nose is close to the mat, but I'm sure that will dissipate with time (and it's not strong /overwhelming, to begin with).
All in all, I am extremely satisfied, and can already tell that this mat is going to seriously upgrade my entire practice, allowing me to focus on my breath/movement/state-of-mind instead of what my mat is doing.

Comments about Manduka Black Mat PRO Yoga Mat:
Even at room temperature, I'm normally dripping sweat after about 15 minutes in a Yoga session. After having tried various mats, I never found one that I would not slip on if my hands and feet were wet. So, I went for the most comfortable mat. Using a towel (either thin cotton gym towel or Manduka microfiber towel), I eliminated the slipping when wet problem. The width of this mat is just right for knees out child's pose (for me at 5' 7"). The mat is heavier than most mats - I would not want to lug it around all day or travel on a plane with it, but if you're driving to the studio/gym, it's manageable. In return, it's comfortable without requiring any folding or additional layers to keep knees comfortable.

Comments about Manduka Black Mat PRO Yoga Mat:
Hey im an avid yoga guy who wanted a high quality mat. i live far from stores so i had to use the internet to guide me. This mat appears to be awesome, and it is, except it is extremely slippery when wet. i sweat like a spring in a rain storm, and after minute five of my yoga the mat becomes a liability and even dangerous to use. i have to have a towel on top of it now. some reviews said that the slipperiness would wear off after a while, but its been a year and a half and it is still slippery. im beginning to think that the slipperiness will never where off. it does have its benefits though. it is long, and that is a plus. im 6'1" and it is nice to have a long mat. it is super thick, and this is one reason why i bought it. im bony and it definitely does a good job cushioning me. the cushion comes at a price, as this mat is really heavy. overall im happy with the mat, i learned to live with the slipperiness. you might as well buy the yoga towel to cover it right now though, there goes another[$]makes me long for the old days of just borrowing a mat from the yoga studio.
