The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Jetboil Sol Titanium Companion Cup - 0.8 Liter:
Recently purchased the Companion Cup as a second titanium add-on. Jetboil has retooled the lock slots on the bottom of the cup. It now has a much better action and fit. More like a camera lens mount than ever. Very secure, removes and replaces easily. I've included a photo to help illustrate, the new pot is to the right. It's lightweight and tough, an efficient integrated systematic approach to backcountry food prep, even at the price. I weighed it at 3-3/4oz. stripped down w/o cozy, cap or cup.

Comments about Jetboil Sol Titanium Companion Cup - 0.8 Liter:
Lightweight usually means delicate, not so with this featherweight apparatus, though you wouldn't want to step on it. It accidentally fell from the bear hooks while in the Smokies backcountry. The teeth marks have become a badge of honor, that the titanium pot stood up to the bear test uncrushed… My bad. The pot itself bayonet locks to the burner and more than compensates for it being a little top-heavy, but still use precautions. It comes with a clever plastic folding tripod that supports and clips to the base of the fuel tank. I didn't have any stability problems with the oversized 8oz. propane tanks I usually carry. The set also contains a folding pot stand that twist-locks above the burner for use with non-Jetboil pots, just be sure that the entire setup is perfectly level. Wish that they would modify the auxiliary pot stand to accommodate both Jetboil and third-party pots without having to switch out the metal pot stand while it's red-hot. There were times when I wish I had brought an accessory potholder for when it boils over… If you over fill the pot, it erupts from the mouth of the cup like a shotgun when it comes to a boil, be ready to turn it down quickly or you'll easily be scalded. Still, not a deal-breaker. Fast boils in about two minutes.
The flame is adjustable from blowtorch down to a simmer. I actually spent about ten minutes of fuel in the blowtorch mode lighting a rain-soaked fire lay. Note to self: in the future, cover the precious flammable handiwork with the rain pants I'm not using at the time. The Jetboil system is almost worth buying for the Coffee Press accessory alone. The piezo igniter usually works, keep a lighter handy till it gets warmed up. I've always carried large 8oz propane tanks, but can't wait to try those smaller sized 100gr tanks that store so neatly inside the .8 liter cup. Speaking of storage, this thing is pretty well thought out in that regard: The 100gr. propane tank, with stabilizing stand, pot stand adapter, stove burner and even the accessory coffee press stores neatly inside the pot and the measuring cup underneath. Wish the measuring cup was twice as large.
I usually travel with family, and consider myself a backcountry gourmet, so now I'm thinking about turning it into a two person set by adding another Titanium Companion Cup, I'll also bring two of those compact 100gr. propane tanks instead of the larger 8oz tank I would normally carry and leave the third party cook set along with the pot adapter at home. My whole kitchen kit should fit neatly within both pots. Come to think of it, if that Jetboil 8" FluxRing Fry Pan came in Titanium, I'd already have one instead of a second identical pot.
